Heidi is a 2022 sorrel AQHA mare. She has a great pedigree but is not turning out the way I had hoped to be a future broodmare.

Halter broke and will lead
Only lightly handled so she is a clean slate.
She is small for her age (13.3-14h).
She has scarring from sandburn/scratches last spring on all four pasterns. It does not seem to effect her movement.
Has been exposed for about 6 weeks to a stallion so will come with a breeders cert just in case.

Well, the weather did not cooperate to get good pictures of Nugget yesterday or today but Ashley took some yesterday and I took some phone pics when he arrived today. Needless to say, he did not stay white long. This old gentleman is amazing in person and has the conformation, temperament, and build I love. Can't wait to see what he produces on our mares.

I normally don't post phone pictures but these two were being so good this morning after 6 months of turn out. The yearling stallions in their fresh out of pasture clothes. Looking forward to working with these guys this summer. I hope one or both can fill Cody's shoes.

It's been a while since I have posted any updates. I was trying to avoid the inevitable. TAMU Nu Bar Cody is officially retired. We do not have any 2024 foals and he did not successfully breed any of the mares for 2025 foals.
I'm not sure if I want to try to breed any this late to outside stallions yet.
But don't count us out. I have a Cody son out of my favorite mare and a Cody grandson by Electric Code out of a Pale Face Dun It daughter that are starting ground training this summer. I will also be putting together a few breedings to outside stallions next spring to bridge the gap until the new boys are ready.
