I am slacking so hard!! Sorry guys, I’ve been so busy out here that I’ve forgotten to check my calendar book for puppy birthdays and dog birthdays and human birthdays 😭😅

HAPPY belated FIRST BIRTHDAY to my little tornados! Brooke, Midna, Murphy, Dixie, and Loki! I miss those lil guys runnin around and terrorizing my camper! 🩷

(Also it’s only 10:41 here in Wyoming so I’m only one day late and not two!! 😅)

My girls and I hope you had the very best Mother’s Day!

Snuggle your Rosie and Ruby babies close and enjoy another wonderful year with your kiddos, human and fur alike!

It’s been near 3 years since Rose had her last babies and Ruby will be getting spayed when I get back home in the fall. I will miss them having pups so much. They have been some of the most wonderful momma dogs I’ve ever met. Rosie was always a bit more no-nonsense with her kiddos and Ruby was always the rough-n-tumble, playful mom. But both have always been extremely attentive and sweet with their babies and took such excellent care of them. My close relationship with my girls allowed me to raise their babies right alongside them with never a problem between us. They knew if there was a problem then I needed to be the one to help. Usually, whelping happened in my lap and every single litter (except Rosie’s very first 8 years ago) was not started until I was present and had their safe nesting boxes set up.

They don’t allllways get along the greatest (both being moody, sensitive lil ladies) but they have always helped each other keep an eye on their babes. Ruby loves tumbling with them in the play yard and Rosie always hang around and keeps a watchful eye out when the littles are exploring. They made a great momma team the one year that I had double litters and took turns feeding each other’s pups if the other wanted to go off and rest.

Anyways, if you made it through reading this far, I’m sorry. 😅 I’m feeling especially nostalgic this week because I know they’re both retired mommas and Ruby is giving me that ultimate reminder right now.

Luna 💕 She’s been here with me now for a week and is settling back in alright. She is quite rambunctious and loves playing with her momma and uncle Bucky. I think she will do best with a family that can focus on her pretty well for training but also has access to some other pup friends that she can spend time with because she just loves playing with other dogs so much.

My goofy baby has gone to her home! A chance meeting at Barrio for my birthday dinner turned into her new family looking up my page and now taking her home today. I think she’s going to have a fantastic time with them!

I am so glad I got to spend my little weekend camping trip with her. It was very bittersweet because she was the last of Ruby’s pups. 💕

Thank you everyone for the shares and for telling your friends how great your own Mak’s Border Aussie pups have been! I couldn’t do all of this without you guys!

I have been trying to write this post the last half hour but Cloudy has been more insistent that she lick my phone screen or nudge my hands away rather than I do so. I’d say I should take that as a sign but I know I need to give her the chance to make someone else’s life the best it could ever be.

This baby girl is still available to a family that will treat her like the little perfect princess she is. (I still say that even though she got me up at 3am to climb down the tent ladder so she could go p*e 🤪)

Since all of her siblings have moved out to their new families, she has been on many adventures and is already learning that she loves all the attention. She went to Barrio where they gave her a cute bandana and she got to try a lick of queso. She’s been on many car rides where she is the passenger princess in training with Rosie. And she has gotten to experience her first semi-solo camping trip with just me and her grumpy old aunt Rose. This is her first time without her momma for real and she is doing perfect. She woke me up when she needed to go potty and then had a few moments of tent zoomies before going right back to sleep. She has even hung out in her crate a few times when I was busy setting camp up or visiting with family and was content enough to play with her toys. She’s very smart and is quickly learning to come when called. Cloud is going to be a very versatile girl that you could do just about anything with.

I think she’d do absolutely wonderful with an active family that has kiddos and goes camping or hiking! Or even someone that does some different dog events. I think she would like that a lot when she’s older.

Ok, I will stop because I could probably go on and on about her forever. She’s so stinkin cute and sweet.

I still have two pups looking for their people!

Cyclone is a black and white boy that is as sweet and hammy as they come. I swear he knows when the camera comes out and plays it up as much as he can. He loves belly rubs and to give tiny nose kisses. He’s got them bright blue eyes that will stop you in your tracks.

Cloud is an angel. But also she is a bad baby. She loves being mischievous and is always watching to see what she thinks you’re doing wrong. Cloud has the cutest little hops you’ve ever seen when she gets excited and is playing. She is very sweet though still a little shy and is already a passenger princess just like her momma Ruby. She also is the complete opposite of Cyclone, in that she refuses to even pretend to look at the camera.

You couldn’t go wrong with either of these babies. They’re going to be fantastic dogs and look gorgeous at the same time. I promise you don’t want to pass them up just because they don’t have the “fancy” markings like some of their siblings.

They’ve gotten their first shots, microchips, and current dewormings. They’re ready to go this week!
