We are now stocking Good Egg wash in our poultry department!
Not cleaning off the outside of fresh eggs (the bloom) always them to be stored at room temperature for longer periods of time. While the bloom is important in keeping any bacteria from entering into the egg, it should be removed before handling or using the egg to cook.
Good Egg is enzyme based, allowing for the break down of bacteria on the outside of the egg, unlike soap that can be too harsh, allowing bacteria through the shell.
