Creamsicle is quite the summer treat! She loves to play in the water and had the time of her life in the splash pad one of our volunteers so graciously donated! Creamsicle takes a bit of time to warm up to new people but, as you can see, she is incredibly sweet and loving. Creamsicle gets super excited to go on walks and can get burts of zoomies when she gets excited. It never lasts long and then she'll be tuckered out for a long while. we hope to find her a cuddle compainion soon!

We have come to expect so much from dogs. We expect instant unwavering love and for them to be completly comfortable in every new environment no matter how loud, scary, or unfamiliar. It is a lot to expect of anyone, let alone a being that can't understand what is happening to them. It is important to give them some time, love, and support. That way you can see their true personalities shine through. Oreo for example is a very loving, playful, cuddly guy. He loves treats, picks things up pretty quickly, and is always down for a cuddle. But if you go based off of the first few minutes of meeting him you would only know him as scared. If you would like to meet the real Oreo come visit the shelter, spend a bit of time with him, and see his personality unfurl before your eyes!

Meet Ollie! This little sweetheart just needs a bit of time and a comfy lap to be on! Ollie is a bit shy at first. He's a nervous little guy. But he is also the sweetest little cuddlebug when he has had a little bit of time to get used to things.

Meet Tito! We often do not have a lot of information on strays that come in but lucky Tito had people looking out for him! They were able to give us a bit of info. According to the finders, Tito knows sit (that one we've proved), is potty trained, and will not take a ball out of your hand until you tell him okay. He is friendly and playful with people.

We are looking for help from a certified groomer. We have had several dogs come in that are matted, covered in stuck urine and f***s, and are in pain from their fur pulling on their skin. We are hoping to find someone with the experience and tools necessary to help us make these guys more comfortable. If you are able to help please reach out!

Thanks to The Carlee Cause Foundation my adoption is sponsored!

Kazu may not be the biggest fan of the heat, but she is loving this summer sun! She also loves treats, affection, and curling up in her favorite spot to take a good nap. Kazu is a smart girl and does seem to have some training though we can't say for sure what due to the circumstances f her intake. Kazu's ears do stop short of where you would expect due to fly strike that was not treated and eventually ate away the tips of her ears. Kazu has a lot of love to give to someone who is willing to show her some love back.

Often times black dogs are overlooked in shelters. Whether it's because they don't stand out as much in pictures, a superstition, or it's an aesthetic preference we can never be sure. Most likely a combination of the three. Whatever the cause it's still a stigma that dogs like Henry have to overcome. With a personality this shining, sweet, sensitive, and goofy we know that whoever meets Hank will see him for the stand out he truly is!
