Central West Virginia Animal Hospital is seeking to hire a a full time receptionist that exhibits a high level of professionalism, honesty and reliability. Additional requirements include good interpersonal skills, ability to complete basic clerical tasks and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. On site training will be provided with opportunities for salary increase after the training period based on performance and efficiency in the workplace.

BRAXTON COUNTY RABIES CLINIC 2026

Edith J. Johnson, DVM will be conducting dog and cat vaccination clinics in Braxton County on June 5-6, 2026.

Rabies Vaccination for dogs and cats will be $15 each.

6/1 (Distemper, Hepatitis, Para Influenza, and Upper Respiratory Virus) Vaccination for dogs and 4/1 (Distemper and Upper Respiratory Virus) for cats will be available at substantial savings over office price. Nexguard, Nexguard Combo and worm medication will be available for pets receiving vaccinations.

WV Law Requires every dog and cat be vaccinated for rabies and more importantly this vaccination provides protection for both owner and pets against this deadly disease.

Hey Everyone! We are helping a generous client find homes for these sweet puppies! These four (spayed) female are around 6 months old, range in size from 35-45lbs, and are super sweet and calm! They were spayed this past week, have had their rabies vaccination and 1 round of puppy combo vaccines. The owners generously opened their home to a stray pregnant dog and have fed, vaccinated, spayed these puppies. They would love for each of them to go to a loving home and are not asking for any monetary reimbursement for their care. Please give us a call at the hospital if you are interested in adopting one of these sweet pups!

As we prepare for the Christmas Holiday, we will have modified hours this week. We will be open until noon on Christmas Eve and Closed on Christmas Day. In the event of an emergency, we recommend the emergency clinics in Charleston and Fairmont.
