Meet Rosco P. Coltrane...
He is a King of Kings... We adopted him from another breeder who said she didnt know what to do with him because he was extremely violent... BUT I couldn't help but fall in love with him and I have also had experience working with cats that need rehabilitation, so I thought I would be the purrrrrfect Mom to help him readjust to the world... but let me tell you... when I first got him... I have never felt a cat bite harder in my entire life... man oh man... but it comes with the territory when working with animals that have experienced some level of trauma. And truly it wasn't that he is just a violent cat, it's that he was just incredibly scared and in CONSTANT defense mode which put him in constant fight mode!!! He was being bullied by the other males in the house and so he felt like he had to lash out at everything in order to protect himself... it is REALLY hard working with these kinds of animals... and let me tell you... he was no exception... it actually took him months to relax and I would even say around a year or so to REALLY FULLY become the cat I knew he always was deep inside... and let me tell you... working with him was SO WORTH IT!!!! To see him go from being angry and aggressive to literally the MOST cuddley sweet boy ever!!! I mean it just brings tears to my eyes to see how much more he is able to enjoy life!!! He is now aggressive in another way... he AGGRESSIVELY wants pets ALL the time from anyone who meets him hahahha... he'll rub up on your legs and roll around at your feet (although do NOT go for the belly... its a trap!!!) You can see in one of the pics I shared, how he is cuddled up in my arms and in the blankets... he is truly an absolute sweetheart, that is SOOOO incredibly loving and is a testament that some environments are just not the right environments... and environment really truly means everything when it comes to happiness!!! Rosco has his own apartment in our house, with our sun room that has windows on all sides with purrrrrfect viewing of our bird feeders!!! He does have to be kept seperate from our other cats, but he has found his furever home with us and he will furever have his own space where he can feel safe and will furever be loved and cuddled and snuggled!!! One of the cutest things that I absolutely LOVE about Rosco... is when he is close to me and I make a kissy sound, he will ram his forehead into my mouth for forehead kisses and its probably the cutest thing in all of existence hehe (I may be biased)
Well we hope the story of Rosco Bear warmed your heart as much as it did ours!!!
Much Love
