A huge congratulations to Liz, our recent raffle winner and the lucky recipient of this awesome prize! 🎁✨

We want to thank Liz, along with everyone else who purchased a ticket and participated in the raffle. The turnout was incredible, and the support from our community means more than you know!! ❤️

Not only was this a fun event, but it also helped support our shelter's medical expenses. Funds raised through raffles like this help open the door for specialty care, medical treatments, equipment, and other resources our shelter pets may need along the way!! Every ticket purchased helped make a difference for the animals in our care 🐶🐱

The response was so great that we're already talking about the next raffle! 👀🎟️

💰❤️ From Piggy Bank to Puppy Care ❤️💰

Recently, Sadie stopped by the shelter with a donation that truly touched our hearts. When she came in, she told us that she had been saving up some money and decided that instead of spending it on herself, a shopping trip, or a fun day out, she wanted to donate it to the pets here at the shelter ❤️

How amazing is that?

It's always inspiring to see young people like Sadie with such a caring heart and a positive outlook on animal welfare! She could have spent that money anywhere, but instead she chose to help pets she may never even meet. Because of her generosity, we can continue providing care, enrichment, treats, medical support, and everything else our shelter pets need while they wait for their forever homes!!

To Sadie, thank you so, so much for thinking of our pets. Your kindness means the world to us, and we know our staff, volunteers, and shelter pets are incredibly grateful for your support 🐶🐱💙

🚧🐶 Caution: May Cause Spontaneous Adoption 🐶🚧

If you've spent any time around our volunteers, you've probably heard someone mention Rubble Watkins! This handsome guy has become a shelter favorite thanks to his goofy personality, sweet nature, and his love for just about any opportunity to get outside and play!! 🐶✨

At just 1.5 years old, Rubble Watkins (A285016) is still a young pup with plenty of life, love, and adventures ahead of him. He absolutely lives for playtime and can usually be found chasing after balls, plushies, or squeaky toys with a big smile on his face!! Returning the toy? Well... he's still working on that part 😂

Despite his playful side, Rubble Watkins is an incredibly sweet boy. He takes treats gently, happily offers a sit for snacks, and enjoys soaking up attention from anyone willing to give him some pets! He's also kennel trained, potty trained, and heartworm negative, giving his future family a great head start!!

Like many young dogs, Rubble Watkins (A285016) is still growing and learning. What he needs most now is a family willing to continue helping him become the amazing dog we know he can be. With a little guidance, consistency, and lots of love, this big guy is going to make an incredible companion! ❤️

Rubble Watkins (A285016) came to us as a stray on March 5, 2026, and while we've loved getting to know him, we're ready to see him find the forever home he deserves!

The best part? His adoption fee is only $25! 🏡🐾

🐾❤️ Willow’s Second Chance Story ❤️🐾

When Willow first came into our shelter, she weighed only 14 pounds and was in need of serious care, patience, and love. She was underweight, fragile, and needed people willing to fight for her.

So that’s exactly what we did 💙

Like so many pets before her, Willow was given every chance possible at another shot at life. With the right medical care, plenty of love, patience, and a few e###xxtra feedings, this sweet girl slowly started to gain weight, regain strength, and show us the happy pup she was meant to be 🐶✨

And the best part? Willow has officially been adopted! 🏡❤️

Stories like Willow’s are why this work should never be underestimated! Every day, our team is caring for animals who need help, healing, and hope! Some come in scared. Some come in sick. Some come in needing a little extra time. But every single one of them matters, and every life saved is worth it!!

🤠🐾 Cowboy Rides Off Into the Sunset! 🐾🤠

After 253 days in our care, our Lone Star Hot Dog Cowboy has officially found his forever home! ❤️🏡

There's something extra special about seeing one of our long-term residents finally walk out the front doors with their new family. These are the dogs we spend months getting to know. We celebrate their victories, learn their quirks, and build relationships with them along the way!

If we're being honest, it can be a little bittersweet when they leave. We grow attached to these dogs, and Cowboy was certainly no exception. But as much as we'll miss seeing his face around the shelter, nothing compares to the excitement of knowing he's headed off to live the life he deserves!! 🥹❤️

That's always the goal. Every pet that comes through our doors deserves a chance at a meaningful life filled with love, comfort, adventures, and a family to call their own. Cowboy got exactly that!

To Cowboy's new family, thank you for choosing adoption and for giving this amazing boy the opportunity he's been waiting 253 days for! We know he's going to bring so much joy into your lives, and we wish you many wonderful years together ❤️🐶

🐐🚨 Another Day, Another Unexpected Animal Call! 🚨🐐

Just when we thought last week's loose sheep would be hard to top, we got a call about a goat hanging out behind a market store! 😆🐾

Director Art Munoz responded to the scene and helped make sure our unexpected visitor stayed safe while we worked to get things sorted out. These are the kinds of calls that remind us that no two days in Animal Services are ever the same!

Whether it's a dog, cat, sheep, goat, or just about anything else with four legs, we're always ready to answer the call and help keep both animals and the public safe!! ❤️

In situations like this, the best thing you can do is give us a call. Animals that are loose, lost, or in unfamiliar areas can quickly find themselves in dangerous situations, and we'd much rather help them get home safely than have something happen to them!

The good news is that this little goat was wearing identifying tags, and we're working to track down the owner so we can hopefully reunite them soon! 🏡🐐

A huge thank you to everyone who reports these unusual sightings! You never know when your phone call could help a lost animal find its way back home.

And honestly... we're starting to wonder what's next after a sheep and a goat in back-to-back weeks! 😂🐾

Three of our sweet shelter pups packed their bags and hit the road with the amazing PINK Happy Tails Transport Team on their way to Ohio! ❤️🐶

Transports like these play a huge role in saving lives. They help connect shelter pets with communities where adopters are waiting and create opportunities that might not otherwise exist. It's a team effort from start to finish, and we're proud to be part of it.

A huge thank you goes out to Friends of Rescue Animals for not only helping fund this lifesaving trip but also for rolling up their sleeves and helping us get the pups loaded up and ready for their big adventure!! Your support continues to make a difference for so many animals 💙🐾

We'd also like to thank the Pink Happy Tails team for safely transporting our dogs and helping them begin this exciting new chapter!! We know they're in great hands! ❤️
