The spood community is heartbroken today as we mourn the loss of one of our most cherished breeders and keepers—Kailyn from Barely Regal Spoods.

Kailyn wasn’t just known for her incredible dedication to the hobby; she had a rare gift for forming deep and lasting connections with so many of us. Her kindness, humility, support, and that unforgettable laugh—if you know, you know—made her someone truly special.

She had a way of making you feel seen, heard, and valued. Beyond the enclosures and breeding projects, she built friendships that meant the world to us.

Personally, I’m going to miss her more than words can say. The community won’t be the same without her, but her spirit lives on in all of us she touched.

Kailyn, you were loved deeply, and you’ll never be forgotten. 😔
