Lots of people are impressed with Lothar's pictures that I posted yesterday. Those pictures with him and the ladies. Folks have even been messaging me about him.

Well...here was Lothar when he was just a tiny tyke. He always wanted the mantle of top pup with his siblings. This was a pup that could have been turned into a vicious man biting guardian, but I wanted to show people that these dogs are so intelligent that you can make them into what YOU want. So we chose take turn him into a gentle giant. He is now 2 and a half years old, not quite an adult yet, and he loves him some humans.

Our CAO are extremely versatile creatures. And I love it.

I must say, I would be sorely disappointed if my other dogs stood around this bear barking, while he chomped down on one of their own pack. Had they all dog piled that bear, he would have not wanted to stay as long as he did. They can't kill such a beast, but they can overwhelm it.

●●●●●Edit: Go check my other page out! Geo Tropics. I'm no longer over there any more, but i hope to get back into it once i retire. I am known in the tropical fish world, as the 'Michael Jordan' of Blue Rams. And really, the only reason i had to put my aquariums on pause, was to focus on my construction company. But BOY do i miss it! Ive been breeding fish since i was 12 years old!●●●●●

Dinner time for the new koi. They're starting to get used to me hovering over them. Going take a few more weeks for them to no longer be skittish. Also, the pond still has another 2 weeka or so before it is fully cycled. When that happens, the water should be a little clearer. Algae is starting tk grow on the sides instead of the in the water colomn itself, and this will really help with the water quality. It's just like my aquariums over at Geo Tropics on Facebook. Go check it out!

My goal this year, was just to just get the pond finished and the koi added. Next year, I will work on the aesthetics some more. Still lots do for that. However, i will try to add a few potted water plants in it next week or so. Still have lots of growing season left.

I could stay out here all day doing this. Lots of folks want to go out to the club or go have a night out on the town. Me? I'd rather watch these koi right here. I'm just a plain ol Arkansas country boy. God, Family, construction company, dogs, chickens and ducks and turkeys, then the koi for a wind down at the end of it all. And in the EXACT order too. Then go to bed and get up and do it all over again, Lol

Lothar is now 2 and a half years old. He's almost in full summer coat. Needs a good brushing to let his shiny black shine through. He's my son, Eli's dog.

Lothar and his mother Mira, are the most pleasant CAO we have. Not a human agressive bone in their body. Chill as can be and sweet as possible. Also, tough as iron nails and won't back down from any other dominate dog in the yard. Hence why we keep our dominate males separate. Lothar's temperment is perfect for taking him walks in parks, hiking and other places where other would-be agressive animals (including other dogs) would potentially be of threat to his humans. For he's definitely peace loving. But has no problem flipping on the "switch" when need be.

Some pretty cool interaction between Tulkas and Appa. Appa is a year and a half old. Tulkas is 8 months old. But already, Tulkas is the dominate male. Imagine that, lol. Watch Tulkas' tail and posture when he corrects Appa. But they're buds, so no worries there. Also, this video is an absolutely perfect example of a longer coat on a CAO vs a shorter coat. Appa will fare a little better than Tulkas in the summer weather, while the opposite is true for frigid weather. But both like the cold a lot more than the heat.
