This cute little fella wants to come home with you for the holidays!

He is approximately 6 months old and has lots of teenage kitty energy. We think he would do well in a home with lots of playful interaction with people, cat-friendly dogs and other young, playful cats!

He has been neutered, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV and had his first vaccines.

Please come by and meet him and let him steal your heart too.

How about a Throwback Thursday?!

We LOVE when we can reminisce with Mercy friends we have gotten to know over the years. The first 2 photos were from 2018, but Bama and Little Man have been showing up dressed in their Sunday best since 2013! The rest of the photos were this week and not a single one of them have aged a bit - don’t you agree?! 😉 And isn’t their mom just precious??

So many things change, but we love that many also stay the same!

🥹Oh how we love to be reminded that the hard work is worth it!

Sweet Nola came in unresponsive, with her blood sugar too low to read due to her little body being overwhelmed by parasites and a respiratory infection. Our team quickly started an IV in her tiny little vein to correct her blood sugar and try to get her back on track.

She took us and her owners on a long rollercoaster ride🎢 over the next couple of weeks, but she eventually realized we are more hard-headed than she is! And we are so appreciative that her owners trusted us to care for her and continue to send us the sweetest updates. 🫶🏻

❤️💙Ladies and gentleman, these are the hearts of the people here serving you and your pets.

Earlier this week, I was alerted after hours about a Facebook post regarding a dog near the clinic. The poster expressed concern that it could have escaped from our facility. While I knew this was not the case, I posted in our employee group to see if the description of the dog sounded familiar to anyone as I got in the car to go see if I could find it.

I didn’t ask for their help, only if the description rang any bells with anyone. But an hour after finishing a 12 hour shift, this was their response. They don’t even live in Gardendale. Three of them immediately jumped in the car and had already verified that the clinic doors were locked down tight and were searching for the dog when I got there.

This same group will stop if they see my car in the parking lot after hours to see if I need help.

🙏 In this season of thankfulness, the team at Mercy tops my list. Now and always. 🫶🏻, Dr. T
