This year-round garden oasis, designed by Equestrian Gardens and featuring plants from the talented team at Glover Perennials, is more than just a beautiful landscape—it’s a sanctuary for birds, insects, and all the natural beauty that thrives in a native habitat. Created with love and brought to life with the entire Solomou family, this project was one of our most memorable family days. Here’s to the joy of growing together and creating spaces that sustain life.

With all the choices in this world, thank you Luke Olsen and KPF for selecting Equestrian Gardens to create your Autumn experience at Capital Challenge! 🍂

This design was inspired by KPF’s chic brand, the vibrant hues of fall, and one of our all-time favorite horses, Babylon. Look closely, and you’ll spot the subtle nods to Babylon with the pea gravel path, rust-colored edging, and florals with just a touch of chestnut. 🍁

It was a true pleasure working with the KPF team, and we wish all the horses and riders the best of luck at Capital Challenge!

Our deepest gratitude to Course Designer, Danny Foster, Course Decorator, Juan Montoya, and #1 show dog, Aztecka, for their collaboration on Week 6 international and national derby course decoration and design. Held in HITS’ Hunter Stadium, this course incorporated Equestrian Gardens’ custom designs for HITS, including lush planters, colorful moss hanging baskets, and our living log, debuted in its second season, bordered by HITS winner’s circle.

We are so thankful to the HITS leadership team for supporting this creative collaboration as we continue to embrace limitless opportunities for new design in the Hudson Valley.

🌿🌟 Wishing the Princeton Show Jumping team an incredible WCHR week! Just a week ago, an incredible storm hit Princeton, but it didn’t stop the show! 🌧️💪 With the resilience and dedication of everyone involved, the grounds have been beautifully restored.

At Equestrian Gardens, we had the honor of working alongside the amazing team to brighten up the showgrounds. Under the direction of owner Andrew Philbrick, our project features a unique combination of local native and near-native varieties, complemented by vibrant annuals. The result? A one-of-a-kind, pollinator-friendly garden that brings life and color to this spectacular event. 🐝🌸

🌟 Best of luck to Saddle River this week as this awesome team embarks on HITS Summer Series! 🌟

Saddle River and Equestrian Gardens have been working together to create a place called home for the HITS Spring, Lake Placid Horse Show, and now for HITS Summer. This very special display includes varieties of flowering hibiscus known for drought tolerance, limelight hydrangea, native ostrich fern, switchgrass, and playful pink zinnias. 🌸🌿

We can’t wait to see all of Saddle River’s colorful ribbons brighten up their garden in the next few weeks. Best of luck to everyone!

🌸 With so many choices in this world, thank you, Claire Bangert, and CB Equestrian of Harwich, MA, and Wellington, FL, for choosing Equestrian Gardens for your garden design at HITS! Not only are we visiting here with Claire at HITS, but Claire also had a first-hand ride of the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby held on the Equestrian Village Derby Field during Week 11 of the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, with a course designed by Ken Krome and decorated by our own Jess Jones. Claire’s performance with Evito Sun Z in the USHJA International Hunter Derby and Queen Tunes in the National Derby was truly stunning. 🌿

We’re excited to continue our collaboration with Claire and CB Equestrian! And a very happy birthday to your horse Johnny! 🎉 We included carrots, apples, and some vibrant sunflowers with a special birthday sign to celebrate Johnny’s contributions to CB Equestrian over the years. 🐴🌻

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

We’re thrilled to share the latest article in the series “Inside the Minds of Course Designers: The International Hunter Derby” by Tricia Booker! This insightful piece delves into the intricate process of designing a USHJA International Hunter Derby course, featuring insights from the talented Kenny Krome and Patrick Rhodes. ✨

The article also highlights the incredible victory of Christopher Payne and Reign and includes reflections from esteemed judge Bobbie Reber. We’re especially proud that Equestrian Gardens was featured for our course decoration work! 🌿💐

Ken Krome had some wonderful things to say: “We had a really great decorator, Jess Jones of Equestrian Gardens, come in and add natural live plants around it with beautiful flowers and grasses.” And Bobbie Reber praised the beauty of the course, noting how real flowers and shrubbery were used to decorate the jumps: “Anytime they put so much time and effort into a course and then showcase the class on the grass and make it so special, it’s great to judge.”
