Our herd tested clean for CAE/CL/Johne's since November 2014 & has been tested annually since with clean results. Kidding season runs March-April and kids are sold to pre-approved homes. For both liability and biosecurity reasons we do NOT offer farm tours. However if picking up a goat we are happy to show you around and answer any questions. Also for biosecurity reasons we do not lease out our bucks or provide disbudding services. Be sure to follow for updates!!! :) :) :)

I know you’re wondering what a video of a bird is doing on a farm page. 😂

Meet one of our little farm helpers — the Tree Swallow. 💙

These birds may be tiny, but they put in a LOT of work around farms. Tree swallows eat around 6,000-8,000 flying insects every single day — including flies, gnats, mosquitoes, and other pests that annoy livestock and people alike. Nature’s own fly control. 👏

One of the coolest things about them is that they often return to the same nesting area year after year to raise their babies. Once they find a safe home, they tend to keep coming back. 🪺

This video doesn’t even come close to doing them justice. They have blue/purple iridescent feathers that almost don’t look real in the sunlight, and watching them swoop across the fields catching bugs midair is pretty amazing.

It’s just another reminder that God designed nature to work together. When we make room for wildlife, so often they end up helping the farm too. ❤️ Tiny bird.

-Sweet Bessie, our sons show heifer that he purchased himself got AI’d for his 2027 show calf. 🖤🤞🏻🐄

-We got the scale working and weighed Lacey for her weaning weight. In the moment we couldn’t get it to switch to lbs 😅 but converted she’s 504lb. 👏🏻🖤

There’s some really exciting stuff in the works, hopefully will be able to share more on that next month! ☺️

Homemade sauerkraut after just a couple days on the counter! Super simple-just cabbage & salt. (I like purple cabbage for fighting inflammation and gut bacteria loves anthocyanins which come from red/purple fruits/veggies). Homemade sauerkraut is > than store bought by far, so don’t judge it based on the store version.

💜Gut health plays a HUGE role in overall health and generally how you feel. I make sauerkraut in small batches on occasion just to keep my gut health on the up and up! Just 1 tablespoon of sauerkraut is 10 million to 10 billion colony-forming units (CFUs) of probiotics! Food literally is medicine in this case!

💜The Enteric Nervous System (ENS): Often is called the "second brain," it operates independently, coordinating digestion and muscle movement, but can also work in conjunction with the central nervous system.

💜Roughly 70% of the body's immune cells are located in the gut. The gut microbiome plays a critical role in producing neurotransmitters that affect mood, behavior, and cognitive function. Over 90% of the body's serotonin is produced in the gut. Dopamine is important for mood regulation and is also produced within the ENS.
