While pregnancy checking cattle with the ultrasound on Friday, Dr Stevens had help from three wonderful, young, WOMEN cattle producers!! By the end, not only did Dr Stevens not have to wait for cattle coming to the chute as those girls know how to position themselves to get cattle to the chute quietly and quickly BUT the youngest (7 years old) could identify and age the fetus on the ultrasound screen!!! It was a great morning with two great families!! 😍🐮

Learn alongside Dr Stevens during this training event!

IFSI will host a free Livestock Truck Rollover training course on July 22. Two additional sessions will be available in Dekalb and Galva.

This course was developed for first responders, emergency room managers, dispatchers, veterinarians, towing company personnel, and livestock producers.

Thank you to the Illinois Pork Producers, Illinois Beef Association, and JBS for supporting this valuable training.

Clementine has her outfit all picked out for the 4th of July Parade tomorrow! 🤣It is not too late to decide to join us! Meet us at the parade line up tomorrow around 11:30-11:45 near the Galva Schools bus garage: look for the vet truck, Clementine and other bikers, walkers, wagons, etc.! The parade will kick off promptly at 12 PM. We will have candy for you to throw, goodie bags for the kids and popsicles! Come join us!

Good morning! We will be closed on Friday and Saturday so our staff can enjoy the holiday weekend. Please make sure to fill your pet's medications and pick up food before Friday! Also, feel free to join us for the parade on Friday! Line up will be on 3rd Ave next to the Elementary school. Please be there by 11:45 AM as the parade kicks off at Noon! We hope all of you have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!

Dr Stevens had the pleasure of sharing her knowledge with a group of agriculture educators today during one of their professional development seminars during their summer break. She was able to share with them what careers are available in the veterinary industry, the process of establishing a relationship with a veterinarian, basic animal physical examination skills and a few pearls of wisdom to help guide students that want to pursue a career in the veterinary industry. A huge thank you to Mr. Trent Taber with the Cambridge FFA for the opportunity to share with this group! PS the new Cambridge Ag Center is FIRE!!!!! 💖

Please join us! Since we are starting the parade this year, it would be WONDERFUL to have a lot of bicycles, tricyclics, wagons and walkers this year join us! Simply decorate your mode of transportation and come join us at line-up for the parade! Line up occurs on NW 3rd Ave by the Galva Schools bus garage at 11:30-11:45 AM! We will have candy for you to throw, water to drink during the parade, snack bags for you to enjoy when the parade is over and popsicles for after the parade! Comment on the post or call the clinic to let us know you will be joining us so we have a general idea of how many goodies to gather! We look forward to having you join us!

Since saying goodbye to Apple, we have had to say goodbye to several other pets owned by our wonderful clients. Everyone has been very understanding of our staff and Dr Stevens' emotions during this most difficult time. One of the clients brought this very special gift to the clinic on Saturday. We were able to open the present today and can't believe the extreme thoughtfulness of this gift. 🧩💔
