Sarah Faught Quarter Horses braved the hot, hot weather to compete at the Gold N Grand All Breed Open Horse Show last weekend at the Murieta Equestrian Center in Rancho Murieta, California. Our sincere thank you to Shady Schneider and the MEC staff for producing such a good show. The prizes awarded were unique as well as beautiful featuring buckles that were given through fifth and much more! Many, many thanks to Mia Nunes for all of her help getting riders and horses ready to show. Fun photos were taken by our “horse show mom extraordinaire”, Liz Nunes…we are so grateful to her!

🏆🏆 Championship buckles were won by Kellie Meier and Heyy Darlin, Amateur Select Ranch Riding; Staci Brown and Sheza Little Lazy, Amateur/Youth Western Riding and Kathy Fritz’s Gotta Goodbar Girl in 5 & Under Trail ridden by Sarah.

Congratulations to:

⭐️ Marisa Hash and Popular Mechanics, winning multiple blues in their L1 Trail classes.
⭐️ Cathy Durfey and Freckles On My Pale Face, Top 5 buckle winner, Amateur Select Ranch Riding Flat class.
⭐️ Have You Myst Me Yet, owned by Sue Wathen and ridden by Sarah, top placings in L1 Open trail including a first place.
⭐️ Tricia Avila and A Cherry On Top, buckle winner in Select Trail, plus won their Select Trail class each day. Casey also won firsts with Sarah aboard in Senior Trail.
⭐️ Joy Cardelli and Snack Chip won a Select Trail buckle and Sarah rode Chip to wins in Senior Trail.
⭐️ Mary Korngiebel and Spiffy Goodbar brought home a buckle from their Limited Youth Western Pleasure class. Spiffy was also shown by his owner, Corinna Korngiebel to placings in their Western Pleasure classes.
⭐️ HF Frozen N Fabulous, owned by Donnie Flahavan and shown by Sarah were Top 5 in AQHA Open Ranch Trail.
⭐️ Kathy Fritz and Gotta Goodbar Girl had a great showing in their L1 Amateur Trail classes and Sarah and Charlie were champions of the 5 & Under Trail class.
⭐️ Staci Brown and Sheza Little Lazy picked up three buckles including a championship in Amateur/Youth Western Riding, Reserve Champions in Amateur Western Pleasure and Top 5 in Amateur Trail.
⭐️ Kellie Meier and Heyy Darlin were not only champions of the Amateur Select Ranch Riding but were also Reserve Champs in the Amateur Select Ranch Trail. Sarah and Darlin picked up a third place buckle in the Open Ranch Trail.

Our team has returned home from a two weeks stay in Las Vegas for The Marshall+Sterling Celebration. Our sincere thank you to everyone involved with the production of this great show held at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center.

⭐️⭐️ 🏆 Linda Patron and her pair of awesome chestnut geldings had a great show. Riding her new horse, Peanut Budder Cup, the duo brought home a Circuit Championship in Select Western Pleasure. Linda and Budders also had consistent Top 5 placings in L1 Amateur Select Western Pleasure. Switching horses and disciplines, Linda and The Darque Knight shined in L1 Amateur Select Trail with first place wins.
⭐️ Kellie Meier and Heyy Darlin placed in the Top 5 of a tough Select Ranch Trail class a well as Top 10 in their Ranch Riding and Ranch Rail classes. Sarah also showed Darlin in L1 Open Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail.
⭐️ Joy Cardelli and Snack Chip were Top 5 in their L1 Amateur Select Trail and Sarah rode Chip to a Top 10 in L2 Senior Trail.
⭐️ Sheza Little Lazy and Staci Brown had Top 10 rides their Trail and Western Riding classes.
⭐️ Made No Mistake, owned by Linda Patron and ridden by Sarah had solid Top 10 rides in their L1 Open and Junior Trail classes.

What a week of fun for our gang that made the trek to the Paso Robles Events Center for the SLOCQHA Mother’s Day Circuit held June 10-14. SFQHA horses and competitors were seen everywhere from Halter to English, Western or Ranch. AQHA points were garnered, Circuit awards and PCQHA Buckle Bonanza prizes were won!

⭐️⭐️ Linda Patron piloted her two handsome chestnut geldings to not only Circuit Championships, but each also won a PCQHA Buckle Bonanza buckle. The Darque Knight was the Special Day L1 Amateur Trail champion and Peanut Budder Cup won the title in the L1 Amateur Western Pleasure for the Mother’s Day Circuit. Linda’s third horse, Made No Mistake, was a Top 5 placer in his Trail classes ridden by Sarah.

⭐️⭐️ SFQHA welcomes Donnie Flahavan and her husband Tom to our team and congratulate her and her horses for a great show. Riding Its Showtime Mr, the duo won the Special Day Select Ranch Trail Circuit Championship as well as tying for the Mother’s Day Circuit Championship in Select Ranch Riding. Donnie and Jordan picked up many blues and AQHA points in all of their Ranch disciplines. Donnie also showed her young horse, HF Frozen N Fabulous to wins and high placings in their Ranch Walk Trot classes.

⭐️⭐️ He Solved The Crime, owned and ridden by Jennifer Chan, was the Mother’s Day Amateur Hunter Under Saddle Circuit Champion. The pair also won or placed deep in their Horsemanship, Western Pleasure and Trail classes. Sarah showed Stanley in L1 Open Trail to place in the ribbons.

⭐️⭐️ Too Smart To Dual, owned and shown by Stephanie Anderson, tied for the Special Day L1 Select Ranch Trail Circuit award and won multiple AQHA points in their Amateur Select Ranch Horse disciplines. Wink was also shown by Sarah to place in Senior Ranch Trail.

⭐️⭐️ Code Blue Cowboy, owned and shown by Jessica Hawkins, once again showed his versatility by winning or placing in all of his classes from Performance Halter to Trail, Western Pleasure and Western Riding. Henry was also shown by Sarah to high placings and multiple AQHA points in L1 Open Trail.

⭐️ Snack Chip and Joy Cardelli were consistent Top 5 placers in their Select Amateur Trail classes. Sarah and Chip also placed Senior Trail classes.

⭐️ Have You Myst Me Yet, owned by Sue Wathen and shown by Sarah brought home ribbons in their L1 Open Trail classes.

⭐️ Mike Rodgers and Lope EmIf U Got Em showed in L1 Amateur and Select Amateur Trail and were Top 5 winners.
