📣 Understanding Our Dock Diving Sanctions

At Triple Play Dog Sports & Country Road Canines, we’re proud to host events with two dock diving sanctions: K9Wave and IDS (International Dog Sports).
These are completely separate organizations, so we always make it clear which one is running in our event posts.

Both offer the same core experience—a fun, supportive community, safe and organized events, and a chance for your dog to build confidence and shine. From first splashes to seasoned jumpers, every team is celebrated. And yes—you can take part in both!

🌊 K9Wave —
Local and community-focused, with milestone-based titles (5, 25, 50, 75, and every 25 after). K9Wave events are a fun, relaxed, and non-competitive vibe (think backyard BBQ). Events include TidalWave, Catch-a-Wave, HighTide, and LowTide. Registration is required, and scores stay within K9Wave.

🌎 IDS —
Fun and community-driven, with nationwide recognition, and structured titles earned through points. Dogs register for an IDS number and compete in Horizon, Eclipse, and Velocity. Titles progress toward Champion, Galaxy, and Universe, with opportunities to qualify for nationals. IDS scores are also recognized by ASCA. Registration is required, and scores stay within IDS.

In short, K9Wave celebrates local milestones while IDS offers nationwide titles and rankings. Scores don’t transfer, so dogs must be registered with the sanction they’re competing in—or both if you want the full experience.

“We laughed and smiled a lot today. How can you not? We met the most lovable, giant 17month agility prospect yellow lab today. All he wanted was to be a puppy. He even puppy pounced on the tug. lol. Anyway we were starting today at the bare bone basics and seeing if we can get this tank to swim and float. Fingers crossed next lesson he will be fully going off the dock. He tuckered out before we could get there lol.”
