This is from a few years ago, but still true today.

And with all the crazy things happening in the world right now it can get pretty discouraging if we let it. So here's my plan. Im going to keep finding the positive. Everywhere I can.

As the world was going crazy Saturday I saddled my horse and I just rode. Actually I rode all the training horses. Nobody was there, it was just me and the horses. I cleared everything out of my mind and just rode. I closed my eyes and tried to feel everything the horses were doing. Its pretty amazing feeling these horses, not just through our seats but through our hands.

Some of these horses that I'm riding are here because they need to learn to relax. They are full of tension, full of braces, just not ok with everything. And as I rode I just felt what they were telling me and I tried to help them soften. Its great to feel a horse free up and relax and start to trust you, right in your hand. This is what I do everyday, find braces and tension and help the horse through it, but today it meant more.

See these horses find softness through difficult times. When they feel pressure they either freak out and get nervous or they feel it and soften to it. They learn from the pressures and come out better.

So with all these pressures that are being laid on us right now we can either brace up, get nervous and freak out, or we can feel the pressure of all this and learn to relax. The horses lives get so much better when they let the tension go. And so will we. It doesn't mean the pressures go away, you have to remember that. The pressures don't go away from the horse, they learn how to handle them. Thats what we have to do, learn how to handle these pressures, and relax, and we will be able to handle whatever it is. We will be much more comfortable and enjoy life if we can just learn how to handle the pressures.

Hope you have a great day!

Life is hard, and sometimes we struggle to find answers and peace. And if you're reading this you probably like horses. And they are good way to help find peace. I talk all the time about that if we dont put a good foundation on our horses there will be holes in its training. There will be areas of problems and things wont go smoothly. I also say the only way to fix them is to start from the beginning and give that foundation, fill in the holes. Because trying to fix the problems without fixing the foundation will never work.

So here's the truth, if you are struggling, or cant find peace, the bible is the foundation. Every tool we need is in there. You can use it to start over and fill in the holes. Before long your foundation will be strong and no matter what you can find peace.

I hope this day finds you doing well!
