Alkire Kennels would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ben and Tristan on their high school graduation!

Ben is graduating from Westland High School, and Tristan is graduating from Westfall High School. These two incredible young men have played a vital role in caring for so many amazing dogs—and their owners—over the years. Their dedication, compassion, and hard work have left a lasting impact on all of us.

As Ben heads off to college and Tristan begins his journey in the Navy, we couldn’t be more proud. It has been a true blessing to have them as part of our team and our lives. We’re confident that when they look back on this chapter, they’ll feel the same.

Thank you, Ben and Tristan. Your futures are bright, and we’re cheering you on every step of the way!

This week’s daycare dog of the week goes to…. Mac!❤️ She is a wonderful chocolate lab who loves to hangout with the staff. She loves to play with her sister Molly. Mac has an adorable ridge on her nose that makes her stand out when daycare is full of chocolate labs!🐾

Guess what day it is, it’s Friday! This week’s daycare dog of the week is Cash!🐾 Cash is one of the few German Shepherds we get here. Cash has really come out of his shell and has shown us quite the personality. He loves the pool in the summer and playing with the littles!❤️

As spring break approaches for many in the area, we are almost completely full for boarding 🎉 We currently have very limited availability for these dates:

This week's daycare dog of the week is Draco!❤️ Draco is one of the few huskies that we get in daycare. He is quite spunky and such a joy to have!🐾

We are starting something new with Daycare! 🐾 We will be introducing Daycare Dog of The Week. This week’s daycare dog is Tormund! Tormund is one of the Dobermans we get here in daycare.🐶

❄️Hours Update!❄️

Hello everyone!
With the pending Winter storm heading our way we are adjusting some office hours. Please see below !!

Today, Sunday 1/5: to give everyone the opportunity to pick up their pups before any weather starts, our office will be open 2:30pm-6pm !!

Monday 1/6: to give the staff ample time to arrive safely and care for the dogs, we will have a slight delay in opening. Our office hours will be 9am-6pm.

If you wish to not travel in the conditions, your pups are welcome to stay an additional night! Just give us a call to adjust the check out date!

Office hours will resume to normal on Tuesday 1/7!
