IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Save This Life microchip company has suddenly and without notice shut down.

Riverbend has used different microchip companies over the years with Save This Life being one of them. If your pets microchip number starts with 991 or 900164 and was microchipped in the last 3-4 yrs , then your pet may not be protected. This is a universal microchip so you are able to re-register the microchip with another company.

Below is step by step instructions and some options to register.:

1.) Find your pet’s microchip number. You can check your pet’s adoption papers or medical records to find the number, or have it scanned at a veterinarian’s office or animal shelter.

(2)Look up the number to see what company it is registered with. You can use the American Animal Hospital Association website (www.aaha.org) which will tell you what company the chip is registered with.

(3) If the chip is registered with Save This Life, re-register it with another company ASAP.

Some reputable options include
(A) AKC Reunite 800-252-7894 ($5 per pet through 4-1-25)
(B) PetLink 1- 877-738-5465 OR Petlink registration. Clinics can register Save This Life microchipped pets with Petlink.net for only $9.99 using discount code :VEDCO
(C) Free Registry Service at www.freepetchipregistry.com This is a FREE database that is connected to the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool

Make sure your contact information is up to date.

If you are unsure of the microchip PLEASE call the clinic so we can try and help to make sure your pet is registered 740-446-9752.
