Did you know that 7 out of 10 mosquitoes near a heartworm-positive dog can carry the disease - and pass it to YOUR healthy pup? ๐ŸฆŸโค๏ธ

Heartworms aren't just a warm-weather problem. There are 22 different mosquito species in the U.S. that transmit heartworm, active at all different times of day and year - meaning heartworm "season" is year-round. ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ

Even one infected dog in your neighborhood can substantially raise the risk for every other dog nearby.

โœ… The good news? Prevention is simple, affordable, and effective.
Ask us about year-round heartworm prevention at your next visit โ€” your dog (and their neighbors!) will thank you.

Think heartworms only affects dogs? Think again. ๐Ÿšจ

Here are some alarming facts every cat owner should know:

๐Ÿพ Just 1 adult heartworm can kill a cat.
๐Ÿ  Both indoor AND outdoor cats are at risk.
โฑ๏ธ Cats can start showing respiratory symptoms as soon as 3 months after infection.
๐Ÿ’Š There are ZERO approved treatments for heartworm disease in cats โ€” only prevention.
๐Ÿ˜” Only 5% of cats are currently on year-round prevention.

The stakes for cats are incredibly high. Since there's no treatment, prevention is the ONLY option.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Talk to our team today about the 4 approved heartworm preventives available for cats. Don't wait โ€” your kitty is counting on you! ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’•

Easter is almost here, and while the holiday is full of fun for the family, some of the most common Easter items can actually be dangerous for your pets! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฃ

Hereโ€™s a quick reminder of what to keep away from your furry friends this weekend:

๐Ÿฅš Easter eggs โ€” Plastic pieces can cause intestinal issues, and real eggs can spoil and upset their stomach.

๐ŸŒฟ Easter grass โ€” Looks pretty in a basket, but dogs and cats love to chew it, and ingesting it can be dangerous.

๐Ÿซ Chocolate & xylitol โ€” Chocolate contains theobromine, which can cause seizures and elevated heart rate. Xylitol (found in many sweets) is also toxic. Keep that Easter stash out of reach!

๐ŸŒธ Easter lilies & flowers โ€” Especially dangerous for cats. These flowers can cause vomiting, lethargy, and worse if chewed.

If you think your pet got into something they shouldnโ€™t have, donโ€™t wait. Give us a call!
