Despite lockdowns, a pandemic, natural disasters and more, these unsung heroes are always there when we need them to care for the critters we adore. Any day is a good day to adopt a new furry friend, but today is so I thought it the perfect day to share my adoption story
These are my “pound puppies “. Flash on the left was adopted from Northwest Georgia Humane Society in 2013 and I adopted Bella on the same day. Josie on the right was adopted in 2020 from Valley River Humane Society after Bella passed away.
Since I was very young I’ve loved animals and tried to help rescues and shelters whenever I could. Before I could drive my mama would drop me off at the shelter for me to volunteer. She’d always roll the windows down on our way home because she said I smelled like a wet dog 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣
