🌈🐾 Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 🐾🌈

Today, we pause to honor the beloved pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge — and for us, we hold Freya especially close in our hearts. 💖

Freya was more than just a rescue; she was family. She was joy, light, and love wrapped up in a Husky’s beautiful spirit. Though her paws no longer walk beside us, her memory runs deep in everything we do. She is so deeply loved and still so very missed. 🖤

On this day, we remember not only Freya but all of the incredible souls we’ve had the honor of loving and saying goodbye to. Each one leaves paw prints that last forever.

Tomorrow is a BIG day — Baby, Bella, and Camila are heading in for their spay/neuter appointments! 💙💗

💙 Baby – our goofy, handsome boy is officially available for pre-adoption!
💗 Bella – our sweet, shy girl is also available for pre-adoption!
💗 Camila – this gentle soul already has a meet & greet lined up after her spay!

We are so proud of how far these three have come and can’t wait to see them start their journey toward forever homes. 🏡✨

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED – FLORIDA (dog currently in NC) 🚨

We’ve been contacted about a young Husky whose life is on the line.

🐾 Male, about 1 year old, appears purebred
🐾 Currently in Durham, NC — transport can be arranged
🐾 Stray hold ends in just a few days and the shelter plans to euthanize him because of one fear-based growl in the chaotic lobby

This boy does not deserve to die for being scared in a stressful situation. He bonded quickly with the person who found him, and he just needs a chance outside of the shelter.

👉 We need an experienced foster home in Florida to save him.

Recently, a wonderful woman from Meridian Healthcare reached out to us to help one of her patients find food for their emotional service animal. We acted fast — because rescue isn’t just about saving animals, it’s also about serving our community.

💔 Rescue never stops, and neither do the bills.

We just spent another $700 for boarding — not only for Dyno, but now for Kai as well. On top of that, Dyno’s transport to Second Chance Mushers Sanctuary will cost $900. That’s already $1,600 we need help covering.

And now, we’re about to have to schedule spay/neuter surgeries for Baby, Camila, and Bella so they can be adoption-ready. These sweet little ones are safe, but vetting costs add up fast.

This is the tough side of rescue — every step forward comes with another bill. But it’s worth it, because every dollar keeps these dogs safe and gets them closer to their forever homes. 🏡

Sometimes I hate the hard parts of rescue. The driving around “to the back” to pick up dogs so many never walk out alive. The emotional weight of passing another family saying goodbye to their good boy. It wears on the spirit and makes it hard to keep going…

But we keep going. We keep going for them — the voiceless hundreds and thousands at risk of euthanasia, the ones who need someone to show up for them.

And today, we get to share a victory. Camila, Baby, and Bella are safe. 💙

Every time we can say those words, it’s a reminder of why we fight so hard. Each life saved is a win against the odds — a chance for love, comfort, and safety instead of fear and uncertainty.

Thank you to everyone who stands with us. Together, we can keep saying the words that matter most: they are safe.

Swampland Husky Rescue has stepped up to save 3 Pomeranian/Eskimo mixes from Orange County Animal Services, but we need help THIS AFTERNOON to get them to safety!

✨ Meet them:

Camila (A574862) – 1 yr old Pom/Eskimo mix, sweet girl with flea allergies.

Baby (A572820) – 4 yr old Pom boy, energetic and loving.

Bella (A572822) – 2 yr old Pom/Eskimo mix, friendly and crate trained.

🚨 TRANSPORT HELP NEEDED 🚨

Swampland Husky Rescue is stepping up to take in 3 Pomeranian/Eskimo mixes from Orange County Animal Services – but we need YOUR help to get them to safety!

We are looking for transport this Saturday afternoon from Orange County Animal Services (Orlando, FL) to Gainesville, FL.

These 3 pups (Camila, Baby, and Bella) have been waiting for their chance, and this ride is the last piece of the puzzle to get them safe and start their journey to new lives.

If you can help drive, even part of the way, please reach out ASAP!

🐾 Meet Togo 🐾

Togo Urgently needs to find a new Forever Family!!!

Named after the legendary sled dog from the Disney movie, Togo is a 5-year-old neutered male Husky full of personality and love.
🧸 Personality & Temperament:
Togo is incredibly friendly with all people, including children. He's known for his gentle hugs and classic Husky vocalizations. He loves car rides, dog parks, hiking, and long walks—making him a perfect companion for an active person or family. His favorite thing in the world? Stuffed toys. He’ll play with them during the day and cuddle them at night.
🏡 Home Needs:
Togo is both crate-trained and potty-trained. He thrives on a routine and is typically let out every 3 hours. He must be crated when left alone, as he's a bit of an escape artist—so a secure, tall fence or a leash at all times is a must.
🐕‍🦺 Behavior with Other Dogs:
Togo exhibits resource guarding—he protects his food, toys, treats, and even water. Because of this, we do not recommend a home with other dogs unless you're experienced in managing and separating animals during high-value moments.
🩺 Medical Info:
Togo occasionally has a strange cough. When it flares up, a vet-prescribed steroid helps manage it. The current bottle will be provided, and his medical records can be transferred to his new vet. He doesn't need the medication often, and the bottle lasts quite a while.
🏠 Togo is looking for a committed, loving home that understands the needs of an intelligent, energetic Husky with quirks.
