Juno’s first walk with his owners after completing Behavior Rehab Camp — Part 1.

They were a little nervous stepping into the store… and honestly, that’s normal when you’re handling **200 lbs of dog in public**. Here are the safety basics we coached in real time:
1) **Situational awareness** — scan early, don’t get surprised.
2) **Be clear + decisive** — lead with intention, not hesitation.
3) **Protect your dog’s attention** — don’t let people, dogs, or distractions steal it. Be selfish with it.

Because of his size, Juno turns heads fast… and that can invite strangers to crowd him or invade his space. Juno has to trust his leaders — because relationship is everything.

How do you think he did? Keep posted for **Part 2**.

Luke walked in public for the first time today.

Not “perfect.” Not “easy.” But *free*—even if it was just for a moment. And I can’t explain the feeling of watching a dog who’s lived in survival mode finally take a breath and realize the world doesn’t have to be a battlefield.

That’s why we do this. It has purpose—because we serve the Lord.
And honestly… Luke’s story is our story too.

So many times we choose isolation and confinement—shutting down, pushing people away, staying locked inside our fear—when life and hope are right in front of us. The only thing in the way is our resistance… our pride… our pain… our refusal to believe we can be different.

But here’s the truth: if Luke would come to me, he could become something he can’t even dream of yet.
And if we would go to Him… we could become something we can’t even imagine.

Today was a walk.
But it felt like a promise.

We never allow a dog to build negative associations with anything. So if your dog had a bad experience somewhere it is important to take her back there and build her to experience a neutral association with that place. Eventually tons of neutral experiences can eventually lead to positive ones.

Good Job Sadie!

For nervy dogs like Ziggy, getting the to focus on you when out in public is essential for them to continue gaining confidence. He’s very auditive, so any little noise he hears makes him look around too much. That’s why you have to build@up insecure and nervy dogs a little at a time.

Whether the dog is training for just basic obedience or to be a service dog, transfer practices with owners are important in order for them to understand how to better communicate with their dog.
