These two big ole babies are Captain Jack( on the bottom ) and Bear (on the top ). Their mom was an English Bulldog I took in about 9 years ago and she later gave birth to 6 of these black beauties . I found homes for the other puppies but kept these two brothers and over the last 9 years these boys have been inseparable. These big boys have been such great dogs and they never got sick or had any kind of health issues but a few weeks ago Bear got sick and I took him to the vet . His health had declined so fast . Tests didn’t give many answers but his vet treated him the best she could and sent him home on some meds . After a few days he seemed to be getting a little better and then overnight he hit bottom. He couldn’t eat or drink and he couldn’t use his hind legs . As soon as I could get someone to help me load Bear , I headed to the vet clinic . He was in a lot of pain and couldn’t move . Bear’s vet and I made the decision to let him go she helped him to cross over . My son buried Bear for me under a tree in the edge of the woods tonight where several of his buddies are also resting. Bear is the 6th. dog I have lost in the last 13 months. It seems like everyone was one of my favorites. I’m going to miss big ole Bear and I can’t imagine what his brother, Captain Jack is going through !

Rowdy got a good report from her surgeon. Throat looked great , her breathing has already improved a lot . Stitches were removed from her tail surgery and she’s just waiting for me to open the car door and let her in . We are headed home !

Me and Rowdy heading to Chattanooga, Tenn. for post surgery follow up and if everything looks good hopefully her stitches will come out and she will be released by her surgeon. We definitely won’t miss the Chattanooga traffic !

We are headed home . Someone is a little drunk but hopefully she can sleep most of the way !

Rowdy is out of surgery and her surgeon said the little lady did great and is already trying to wake up . They are going to keep her about 3 more hours just to make sure she’s fine and then me and my puppy are headed home to Alabama !

Rowdy is in Chattanooga, Tennessee this morning for her surgery . She’s having a Boas procedure and a procedure to correct her imbedding tail . She should be out of surgery before long .
