Halloween costumes can be cute, but comfort and safety should always come first. Make sure costumes fit properly, do not restrict movement, and avoid small pieces that pets could chew or swallow.

If your pet seems stressed or uncomfortable, a festive bandana or simple photo setup may be a better option.

🐾❤️ VET TECH APPRECIATION WEEK. ❤️🐾

It takes a special kind of heart to show up every day and give so much of yourself to animals who can’t tell you what hurts, explain what they’re feeling, or thank you for what you’ve done for them.

It takes hard work, patience, compassion, and a level of mental and emotional strength that not everyone sees. It’s long days, physically exhausting work, difficult cases, worried owners, tough decisions, and moments that stay with you long after you leave the clinic.

It’s holding the scared ones a little tighter, comforting the ones who are hurting, celebrating the little victories, and sometimes being the ones to hold them through their very last moments. It’s putting on a brave face even when your own heart is breaking, because that patient still needs you.

Not every day is rewarding. Some days are overwhelming, heartbreaking, and mentally draining. There are moments when you question how much more your heart can take. But then there’s that patient who finally feels better, the tail that starts wagging again, the purr of a once-scared cat, or the animal who finds comfort in your arms, and you remember exactly why you chose this field.

We don’t do it for the money, the recognition, or the easy days. We do it because these animals deserve someone who will fight for them, advocate for them, comfort them, and love them when they need it most. 🐶🐱

Being a vet tech means giving pieces of your heart away every single day, sometimes to patients you’ll never forget and sometimes to ones you only get a short time with. It means carrying the good, the bad, the beautiful, and the heartbreaking with you.

To every veterinary technician who shows up, works hard, feels deeply, and keeps going even when it’s hard: WE see you. Your work matters. Your compassion matters. And the love you give these animals matters more than you will ever know. ❤️🐾

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just a job. It’s a calling. And loving animals is what makes every difficult moment worth it. 🩺🐾
