BABY CALICO!!!

Hubby and I found this gorgeous girl in my parent's shed this morning. Apparently there were 3 kittens, but my dad thinks a possum got the other 2 in the middle of the night. I'm estimating it's about 5 weeks old. Got her on milk replacers for the next couple of weeks and weaning her beginning next week.

ANYONE WANT HER BEFORE I GET TOO ATTACHED?? 😍🤣😂😅

She was one of my inspirations for working with animals when I was young. Her work with chimps really illustrated for the animal behaviorist world that animals have emotions, just like us humans. Researchers were finally able to prove again and again these last couple of decades that she was right. She was one of the few people I really wanted to meet someday.

Maybe I still will, someday.

I remember talking to various people for days after the attacks. Almost every single person knew someone or knew someone who knew others who were affected directly or killed.

It just shows how connected we are as humans. No matter what our differences are, we need to STAY connected.

Not to mention just how incredible dogs are.

I DEFINITELY feel like a dog nanny this morning 🤣

Before anyone starts judging on why the chihuahua is in a stroller, I'll have you know that this elderly dude has a collapsed trachea as well as congestive heart failure. Being a dog who loves his walks, his owners want him to have the best life by making it possible for him to be outdoors with his brother and favorite humans. 😍

This is Leia. Leia is the ONLY golden retriever I have ever met who will leave eye-level treats/foods/yummies alone until a human actually gives it to her. She is such a love 😍

Leia got a bath and a full groom over the weekend from yours truly. She's now fully ready for hot weather!
