Hey everyone! Just popping in to say hello as summer starts winding down. The leaves are already hinting at fall — nature’s little reminder that change is coming.

Each season brings its own beauty — and this one invites us to slow down.

Enjoy this special time before life gets busy again. Love on your dogs, cherish your family and friends, and embrace each day as the gift it is. ❤️🐶

This precious life continues to bring us so much joy! Loving him on his terms and not mine has been a lesson… a loving, humble lesson. What “I” want is not what life is about. This life is about putting others before yourself and showing up. Stay humble and kind my friends!

🇺🇸🐾 Happy Fourth of July from your friendly local dog trainer!

Fireworks can be tough on our dogs, and while our instinct is to cuddle them through the booms, too much comforting can accidentally reinforce their fear. Instead, help them feel safe and capable with confidence‑building strategies:

• Create a safe space where they can retreat — a crate, quiet room, or cozy corner.
• Try a ThunderShirt or other compression wrap for gentle support.
• Play a simple game during the fireworks so they begin to associate the noise with something positive.
• Use tennis balls in the dryer as a noise distraction — the rhythmic thumping can help shift their focus away from the fireworks.

Wishing you and your pups a safe, calm, and confidence‑building Fourth of July. Give them an extra treat from me today ❤️🐶

😎 Trainer Tip Tuesday… 😎🐾

Alright friends, it’s that glorious time of year when the sun is shining, the grass is green, and your dog is absolutely convinced they were born to be an Olympic‑level explorer.

As your friendly neighborhood dog trainer, here are a few professional (and slightly unhinged) reminders for enjoying the outdoors with your fur babies:

• Sniff Walks — Let your dog sniff everything. Yes, even that one blade of grass they’ve sniffed 14 times. Sniffing is their version of scrolling social media… except healthier.
• Loose‑Leash Reality Check — If your dog suddenly forgets how to walk politely because a butterfly flew by, congratulations: they’re normal. Spring/summer distractions are real, folks.
• Recall Practice — Practice calling them back when nothing exciting is happening. Because if you only practice when a squirrel is present, you’re basically asking to be ignored.
• Hydration Station — Bring water. For both of you. Dogs don’t care about hydration until they’re panting like they just ran a marathon they did not train for.
• Shade Breaks — Even the zoomiest pups need a cool‑down. Think of it as a mandatory “reset button” before they start making questionable choices.

Most importantly: get outside, laugh at their antics, and enjoy the season. Your dog doesn’t care if the walk is five minutes or fifty — they just care that it’s with you.

Now go make some sunshine memories with your four‑legged goofball. And yes… I absolutely want to see pictures of them being dramatic in the yard. 🐶

Awww… my Jake living his absolute best life. If only we humans could rest this deeply and trust the moment the way our dogs do. Here’s your reminder today: slow down, breathe, and let yourself just be — Jake-approved
