I love walking around the newly sheared sheep and seeing their bulging pregnant bellies, hidden from view just yesterday by a years worth of wool. Which one will lamb first?

A wonderful surprise gift in the mail today! A felted wool tapestry of our guardian dog Kit. This was made by our friend Arlette, using some fiber from our sheep. Thank you Arlette!! Doesn't it look like Kit?

Our kind and generous neighbor Ed passed away last week. Lots of you will remember Ed from shearing, where he helped move sheep (though he was a cowboy) and made a wonderful white bean soup for lunch. Hey all you kind folks out there, can you send best wishes to our friend Cortney?Today she will have a long and difficult surgery to remove a mass from her head. She is beautiful, strong, kind and just an all out wonderful person. Some of you know her from shearing and have bought fleeces from her. She has helped us here at the farm for many years and some of the sheep in our flock are hers. I know she and her family would love to have all the prayers, healing hugs and good wishes sent their way. Thanks, Annabel

We brought the ewes and their guardians back to the lush green fields of the home place this weekend. We can fit 24 ewes in the trailer for the short ride home. Here Cortney is worming the ewes.
