Hey y'all! The completely anonymous Client Reflections survey will be extended thru Friday, April 18! As promised, each response has been read at least three times, and I'm working on going through the feedback and creating actionable items to make y'all's DDoS experience even more pawsome! Super stoked on these new grab collars we got yesterday from ! While we always hike with a leash, these will make it so much easier to ensure a "stay" is maintained for a quick pass for humans or doggos on trail. Sami is a Summit local and we love supporting the other dog businesses that keep our hounds safe and happy while outside! The link to "grab" your own is in her bio! :)

Yesterday set a new record for other dogs' p**p and trash (someone is missing their underroos! 🙈) that we picked up while hiking at Rainbow Lake. The that we got from are worth their weight in p**p and make it so easy to Pack it in, Pack it out!

Leave No Trace is extremely imortant to DDoS and we can promise to pick up every 💩 that happens while we're out on trail! Please pick up after your doggos! No one wants sh*tty shoes or skis!

The DDoS pack has had a great week preparing for the upcoming Howlidays. Every single pup we've got made the Nice List (even if they had occasional bouts of naughty 😂) and we hope Santa Paws spoils everyone rotten!

Last month, DDoS decided to join PSI not only because of their reputation in the pet sitting community for the gold standard in continuing education, workshops, and certifications, but also because of how they give back to their communities. I lived in this region for 5+ years of my life, and it's so nice to see an org come together to raise funds for the pets that have been displaced or affected by Hurricane Helene. Proud to be a new member of the PSI pack!

In 2017, my girl Swayze got a cancer diagnosis, and she was gone soon after. Since then, the old doggos have had my heart, and I try to spoil the hell out of them as their short lives become even shorter. It was no different with Bozeman, and after finding out he had cancer last year, each time he'd visit, (with his dad's permission) we'd get pup cups and cheeseburgers because why the hell not? Last week, I learned that Bozeman's cancer got the best of him, and it's taken me this long to collect thoughts worthy of this doggo. Bozeman was an OG DDoS pup and he'd garnered his own fan club over the past year. A Top Tier Bestest Boy, he was perfect with puppies and loved his time with water - whether it was in thawed out lakes or falling fresh powder. It was always a pleasure having him around, and an honor to be trusted with his care. Rest easy, Bozey Boze. I hope you've got six feet of snow to plow up there.

Reactive dogs deserve trail time, too! While we aren't set up to deal with aggressive dogs at DDOS, we will absolutely take an approved reactive dog for a hike. Sniffing and exercise is a great way to get nervous energy out and, in certain situations, exposure to their triggers can reduce a reaction over time. Dog Days will always advocate for your reactive dog on trail and request off leash dogs be leashed so they do not approach.
