Had my first post-Harvey pet sitting job last night. It sure does feel good to get back to work. My new grooming table has arrived so I'm getting close to being able to groom again. I'm almost done clearing my stuff out of the house. Tomorrow, we're tackling the mattress with scissors, saws, knives or whatever may work to cut it into reasonably movable pieces. By next week, I'll be tearing down the walls. It all still seems so surreal.

The RV was delivered on Friday and internet turned on today. YAY!!
There's still a lot of work ahead but at least the dogs and I have a place to lay our heads at night. Keeper is still at the kennel until I can figure out how to salvage my fence. (I miss him so bad.) I'm currently working on ordering my grooming equipment so when a space becomes available, I'll be able to hit the ground running. I've finally been able to work on the inside of the house (what a mess) and there were a lot more tools lost than I thought. I was hoping to save my grooming table but that's not gonna happen. So, the GoFundMe continues. Every little bit is helping us get back on our feet. I can't express my gratitude enough. Thank you!

Hey StarPups family! Most of you have heard that I lost my home, business, and vehicles in Harvey. This has been an extremely trying time but I'm keeping my head up the best I can. Trudging through the to-do list daily and trying to create new achievable goals every day. My friend (because I'm surrounded by angels that bless me everyday) started this GoFundMe after the storm. The original idea was to get an RV so that the dogs and I have a place to stay until we figure out the direction we're supposed to go. I'm 95% sure that we now have the deposit so a new goal must be formed. Next step, a work space. Pet sitting is still available (thanks to a blessing that included a vehicle) but I need to find a grooming area. So, any donations that exceed the RV deposit will be used directly for getting StarPups back in business. Thank you all for your time, love, and patience during this disaster. For everyone of us affected by this storm, keep your head up. This too shall pass.

This was part of my Thanksgiving crew. Wow, that was a fun week! It was like living at a dog park.This group kept me laughing every day.
(My computer is on the fritz, so sorry for the sporadic updates. It's been nice to take a media break. Hopefully, I'll have it sorted out in the next few weeks.)
