Keep Your Pets Safe This Easter!
Easter treats may be fun for us, but they can be dangerous for pets! Keep these safety tips in mind:

Chocolate is Toxic – Even small amounts can cause vomiting, increased heart rate, and seizures in pets.

Beware of Xylitol – This sugar substitute, found in sugar-free candy and gum, can cause dangerous drops in blood sugar.

Watch Out for Wrappers & Plastic Eggs – Curious pets may chew on foil wrappers, fake grass, or plastic eggs, leading to choking or digestive issues.

Keep Treats Out of Reach! Store candy securely and check your yard after egg hunts to make sure no sweets are left behind.

Today is Respect Your Cat Day!

Being a good cat parent means learning to speak their language. Here's how to show your feline friend the respect they deserve:

- Watch their tail - a swishing tail often means "time to stop"
- Notice their ear position - flattened ears signal overstimulation
- Pay attention to skin twitching - this could mean petting time is over
- Give them space when they walk away
- Let them come to you for attention
- Respect their "no" when they don't want to be held
- Provide hiding spots and high perches

Remember: A happy cat is one whose boundaries are respected!
