"Brother Jukebox" aka Jukebox
2017 Bay Thoroughbred gelding

Jukebox is a lovely mover with lots of chrome and a big heart. He is very brave and fun to be around! No spook, buck, bolt, rear, bite; not a mean bone in his body. Well started over fences, he is very honest, takes a joke, and doesn't refuse fences. He's got auto lead changes and a nice big stride. He has great ground manners, too - he ties, stands for the farrier, bathes, grooms, loads, has good stall manners, and gets along well in a herd. He is fully up to date on shots, deworming, Coggins, teeth, and needs front shoes only. He has no known previous or current lamenesses or health issues.

We recently took him to his first show and he did a fabulous job, both in and out of the show ring! He schooled like he'd been doing it his entire life, and was the exact same horse as he is at home. He is incredibly smart and has done a great job in our training program. We have high expectations for his future. We are in no rush to sell him, but would love to see him go to a great home with the right person who will help him reach his full potential.

We're having a fun month at Southern Breeze! On the first weekend of September, we dipped our toes into the UDJC at the Great Southwest equestrian center, and enjoyed every moment. We will definitely do it again!

Then we spent last weekend at the GHHJA show at GSEC and came back with two championships, a reserve champion, several blue ribbons, and a lot of personal success stories. Can't wait to do it again!

Southern Breeze IEA is back!!! Join us and become a part of this fun group of riders. You will grow your equestrian skills while competing against other IEA teams but the best part is you'll make some really great friends who love horses as much as you do.
Our first meeting of the year is coming up on Saturday, August 30 at 1 o'clock. Meet us on the front porch of the office at Southern Breeze at that time. All riders from 4th to 12th grade and all levels of riders are welcome. Feel free to call us or visit with our staff to get more information. Questions are welcome!

As the summer begins coming to a close, we want to share all the fun moments we’ve had this season!

Our 3 summer camp sessions went swimmingly, it’s always wonderful to get to share the love of horses with riders familiar and new!

We had a really fun time at camp this past week! We dodged raindrops a good chunk of the week but every day we were able use the outdoor arenas and get them dried out and dragged again so that all four arenas stayed operational. The campers were able to work on basic skills, some were able to canter and jump, everyone played a lot of games on and off the horses, they learned a variety of things about the horses, made crafts, horse popsicles, new friends and came home exhausted every day!
We can't wait for our next camp that starts next Monday, July 7!

Congratulations to Rylen Spiller on winning IBJ Champion aboard Curveball and to Kirsten Toussaint for earning the IBJ Reserve Champion with Katharine Lau Mohn's Sabra Zay today. Both put in some amazing rounds during the GHHJA Show at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center with Cathy Strobel. We are so proud of these girls and their horses!

We were so fortunate to once again have world famous horse photographer, Bob Langrish and his wife, Pam (dog and horse photographer) with us to photograph horses at Southern Breeze on Friday evening. It was an incredibly fun and successful photo shoot. Look for our horses on calendars, coffee, mugs, books, advertisements, and you-name-it. I'm sure a lot of people will be posting their favorite pictures in the next few days!
