Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be grateful and thankful for. I hope you all have a nice day with family or friends or in whatever endeavor you choose on this day. I have reached the 30 year mark in my career as a practicing licensed chiropractor and it has already been 17 years now as a practicing veterinarian as well. The time has flown by so unbelievably fast. It has been a very rewarding learning process being involved in a field that has been able to help so many horses, humans, and dogs over the years. I have appreciated every person and animal that has crossed my path and I'm so grateful for all the ones that allowed me to help. There is not much better feeling than when you see them doing well. I think we can all be universally thankful that we have the special animals that we do in our lives, as well as the people who we cherish. I look forward to seeing you all and continuing down the path of creative innovation, always striving to help wherever it's needed. Wishing you all the best today and every day.

I shared this for the photo. I see this so often. It really makes the horse uncomfortable and causes many postural changes in the horse. They will remain until a better fitting saddle is used and the horse is adjusted.

Happy New Year to all the people, pets, and clients in my life. We are very grateful for all of you. This year marks 28 years of adjusting animals and people, and 21 years human acupuncture, 15 years animal acupuncture services. It has been a great journey of learning and always looking forward to helping new and long time animals friends. Your perserverance and dedication is very much appreciated. Hoping everyone stays happy, healthy and well adjusted into the New Year and well beyond. All the best in 2022...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope you all have a nice day. What amazes me about this picture that came through my news feed, is how Secretariat, at full extended stride, has less tension in his body than many of the horses I see for the first time, of any age, standing with the postural tensions they have acquired for various reasons. Amazing athlete he was.

Sometimes I think that people forget because we are so used to seeing compensation to various issues in horses that this is a perfectly balanced horse standing completely square and relaxed while eating. The scissor stances we usually see are a result of compensation and unbalanced posture. I took this photo through a window and a screen and blew it up because it's really important to the horse's well being and performance to try to achieve the best balance.
