🌟 Meet Aliza! 🌟
This gorgeous girl came to us with porcupine quills in her face — but you’d never know it by the way she’s bouncing around now! Aliza has fully healed and is already showing everyone just how playful, curious, and full of life she really is. 🐶💖

From day one, she’s been incredibly brave. A little unsure at first, but she quickly warmed up to our staff and has become a total lovebug. She’s discovering the joy of toys, playtime, and belly rubs — and let’s just say, she’s a big fan. 🧸🐾

🐾 Best Friends Forever: Cash & Molly 🐾

These two have formed a sweet, playful bond here at the shelter. Whether they’re zooming around the play yard or just relaxing side by side after a good romp, their friendship is something special. 💫

We do our best to give dogs like Cash and Molly safe opportunities to play together, and seeing them light up when they’re reunited is pure joy. They’re a reminder of how important companionship and kindness are — for dogs and humans alike. 🐕❤️🐕

🚨 PetPals Cancelled for June 25th 🚨

Unfortunately, due to a lack of signups, we will be cancelling the PetPals session scheduled for June 25th at Bellwether Harbor.

But good news! Our next PetPals session is set for August 20th, and it's still on the calendar! 🐾

Spots are open, so be sure to sign up now to join us for some animal fun, learning, and connection. 🐶🐱💚

Digital Cartoon Your Pet Fundraiser is LIVE!!

Cost is:
$20 minimum donation per pet for a head color cartoon
$30 minimum donation per pet for full body color cartoon (photo must show entire body – legs, paws, tail)
$10 minimum per pet for ear line art

The artist is accepting orders from June 23, 2025 to June 27 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Full detailed instructions will be posted the day of the fundraiser.

Instructions:

2. Submit Photos and Details:
Send several clear, front-facing photos of each pet (no screenshots) to Lisa via Facebook Messenger (Lisa Gould Portenga) or email ([email protected]).
Include a screenshot of your payment receipt.
Specify your preferred background color, your pet's name, and whether you prefer block or script lettering (if desired).
3. Receive Digital Cartoon: Lisa will create a digital cartoon image (JPEG) of your pet and send it to you via message or email.
You will receive full rights to the digital copy.
Turnaround time is typically 24-48 hours.
4. Optional Purchases: Lisa offers ornaments, magnets, stickers, keychains, and glass cups featuring your pet's cartoon image for purchase.

These amazing dogs and cats have found their forever homes, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share their happy news:

🐱 Fern has curled up into his forever lap!

🐶 Paisley the sweet pup has found her perfect match and is ready for a lifetime of tail wags.

🐾 Tiny but mighty Ebony and Thorn,
two precious kittens, are now pouncing into their next adventure together!

🐕 Cash the playful puppy has cashed in on love and snuggles galore.

🐶 Bentley—now proudly named Thor—has found a family to be his superhero sidekick.

🐱 And last but not least, little Fiona the kitten has landed herself a home where she’ll be spoiled silly!

You can submit a photo of your pet and have it turned into a charming cartoon or beautiful ear line art! 🎨🐶🐱

Your donation not only gets you custom artwork of your furry friend, but it also helps us care for the amazing animals here at the shelter. Every dollar makes a difference in their lives! ❤️

🌟 Meet Aurora 🌟
This gorgeous girl has come a long way. When Aurora first arrived at our shelter, she was in rough shape—tired, underweight, and unsure of the world. But oh, what a transformation love, care, and a full belly can make.

Aurora is now healthy, happy, and thriving. She's discovered the joy of toys and has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate soul who adores cuddling up with her favorite people after a day of play.

She’s been through enough in her young life, and we’ve promised her she’ll never know hunger or loneliness again. What she needs now is a home of her own—a soft spot to land and a human (or humans) to love her as much as we do.

💛 Aurora would prefer to be your one and only. But trust us, she has more than enough love to fill your home.
