It's been said that the simple act of petting an animal can add years to your life. As a professional pet sitter, I have lots of four-legged kids that I can claim as my fur babes. After decades of struggling with the bipolar disorder, I am grateful to God for blessing me with a job that is not only enjoyable but beneficial to my emotional wellbeing. Sadly, too many pets are being neglected and abused. If you have pets but are unwilling to give them the love and devotion they deserve, please make arrangements for an animal shelter to find a new home for them. Don't just put up with them! They deserve so much more than that.

Thank you, Dr. Kennedy. I think you're right about limiting the SNAP cards to healthy foods, no sodas, cookies, chips, or candy. Low-income individuals need to use cash for unhealthy purchases. This is a BIG step toward improving our nation's health. Junkfood really does contribute to chronic illness, both physical and mental, as well as obesity.
