Miss Dolly is spending the week with us while her foster mom is on vacation! I wanted to give some updates on her as I re-tested her with our animals!

🚫 NO female dogs. Dolly needs to be the only female in the home.
❓MAYBE to male dogs! Dolly did not pay much attention to the male dogs as long as they left her alone. She honestly might do okay in a home with a male dog if he’s maybe a little older and isn’t super interested in her. She will give a correction if they are in her space but I actually think she could adjust just fine.
🚫 NO pigs or chickens or cats.
✅ YES to kids or any human male or female any age.
✅ Fully potty trained
✅ Fully crate trained, but honestly, I think she could free roam the house.

Now regarding walks because I’ve had this question a few times: when walking her around the exterior of our fence she did not pay any attention to the dogs unless they were really barking at her. I just had to remind her to keep walking and she redirected. I DO think she can do just fine on walks and such with a little extra training.

I envision Dolly with someone who is retired or a retired couple, to be honest. Maybe with some grand kids or neighbor kids! Or maybe a family that isn’t looking to adopt more pets and is willing to give her a great life. Dolly is a little older around 6-7, so she has lived more than half of her life already and it wasn’t very kind to her. Dolly deserves a life that’s slowed down, safe, and loving. She is genuinely one of the easiest dogs on the planet with her personality and routine.

🐾 Meet your new family coworker, cuddle buddy, and singing partner: Dolly 🖤

Dolly is around 6 years old, spayed, potty trained, crate trained, and truly one of the easiest dogs to have around. She has a calm, comforting presence about her and adapts beautifully to whatever the day looks like. Want to go for a walk? She’s excited. Want a lazy evening on the couch? She’s already curled up beside you.

She absolutely loves people, including kids, and has become the perfect companion for everyday life. She rides great in the car, happily tags along to work with her foster mom, and settles in wherever her people are.

Like many huskies, Dolly has a vocal side and will occasionally “sing” when she’s excited or happy. It’s one of her funniest and most lovable quirks. 🎶

Dolly does need to be the only pet in the home due to a high prey drive, so no cats or small animals for this girl. She walks nicely on leash but definitely keeps an eye out for squirrels. A fenced yard where she can safely enjoy the outdoors would be ideal but not required!

🐾 Meet Eliza 🖤

Around 2 years old and full of personality, Eliza is the perfect mix of playful and total cuddle bug. She can go from zooming around with her toys and playing fetch to curling up right beside you like she’s been your best friend forever.

Her foster mom says she’s become her little shadow, wherever you go, Eliza wants to be too. She bonds deeply with her people and loves being part of the family.

When she first arrived, Eliza was a little reserved around the other dog in the home. We truly think it came from lack of socialization and some insecurity, not aggression. After about a week of patience and decompression, she settled in beautifully and now does great with him. Watching her confidence grow has been so rewarding.

Here’s what we know about this sweet girl so far:

✅ Potty trained
✅ Crate trained
✅ Great in the car
✅ Loves toys & playing fetch
✅ BIG fan of pup cups

Eliza is happy, goofy, affectionate, and still learning that the world can be a safe place for her. She would thrive with a family willing to continue building her confidence while also embracing her playful, loving personality. She loves being social with people and living the adventure with you!

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, follow you everywhere, and snuggle up at the end of the day, Eliza may be your girl. 🐶

🚨HELP🚨

We have a couple dogs under our rescue currently who are NOT friendly with other pets but are VERY friendly with people! Their foster families are going on vacations throughout the summer or are gone for weekends and we are needing a little help.

If you would be interested in opening up your home to one of our dogs for a weekend or week this summer and you do NOT have other pets, please send me a message! This temporary fostering during vacation would help us TREMENDOUSLY!!!

We have spoked with some possible pet sitters in the foster family home and they are just FAR too expensive for us or the fosters don’t feel comfortable.
