I had so much fun grooming today, I forgot to take pictures! Imagine, if you will, an adorable little black and white doodle who is a skilled sniffer. That's Chester! He also has some anxiety around grooming, so today's appointment was really a 'getting to know' you date, while I did my best to make him comfortable. He made it clear that clippers around his legs and belly are a definite "NO", but he was so good about letting my try things. I was able to scissor off a lot of the matted coat, and he'll be back in 2 weeks for another try. My favorite part? When he first arrived he was a little aloof and nervous. But, after taking a few breaks to sit together and watch Frozen while I scritched his back and chin- he ended our session by curling up on my lap and dozing. And when he left he was happy and wagging. I can't wait to see him again! PS- here is a picture of Miss Nyx, who is definitely NOT a doodle, but I think it's always better to add a picture of a cute pup whenever possible! 🙃🐶💜

Jenny is a poodle I trained as as a pup, and now I’m so excited I get to groom her! She did amazing, and she gives the best cuddles, too! ❤️🐶❤️

After taking a long break from grooming, I’ve found myself missing the quiet one-on-one connection that comes from helping dogs feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

So… I’m considering slowly reopening Pawsibilities for a limited number of small dogs and puppies in a calm home setting.

My focus these days is less about high-volume grooming and more about creating a low-stress experience tailored to each dog’s comfort level — especially for puppies and sensitive little dogs who may need a gentler start.

Right now I’m just beginning to explore what this new chapter might look like, but I’m excited to dip my toes back in and see where it leads. 🐾

Here is a throwback blog post- The reason that The Good Pup Project was born. I have to admit, Maizee and I have come a long way in a year- and we have so far to go. But life is about the journey, right? And I am cherishing all the lessons I'm learning from my sweet Maizee, and the ones I'm learning by working with all the wonderful people and dog teams we are blessed to know!
