🗞️ Calling All Newspaper Hoarders (We Know You’re Out There!) 🐾

Fredericktown Animal Hospital is looking for old newspapers to use under our kennel grates. It helps keep our patients cleaner, drier, and more comfortable while they stay with us — and it gives your old papers a second life!

Plus, let’s be honest… this is the one time someone will be excited to take your stack of “I might read that later” newspapers off your hands. 😄

If you have any you’d like to donate, you can drop them off at the clinic anytime during business hours.

Our patients (and our cleaning crew) will thank you! ❤️🐶🐱

📸 Staff Spotlight: Dr. Joe Edition! 🐦✨

Did you know one of our very own has a serious hidden talent? When he’s not caring for your pets, Dr. Joe can often be found quietly watching nature… camera in hand 👀📷

Dr. Joe has an incredible eye for wildlife photography—especially when it comes to birds. If it has feathers, there’s a good chance he’s already admired it, photographed it, or both. His photos capture the beauty, patience, and wonder of nature in a way that makes us all stop and stare.🦆🦌🦨

We’re lucky to have a veterinarian who cares just as deeply for wildlife as he does for your pets. Thanks for sharing your passion and talent with us, Dr. Joe—we think it’s pretty tweet 🐤😉

❄️ Monday Snow Day! ⛄️

🐾Our main offices here in Fredericktown and Farmington will be open! We may not be fully staffed, but we will be there for the appointment that are able to make it and anyone that needs anything!

📍Our Piedmont office will be closed due to the road conditions.

Just a fur-iendly reminder with the snowy conditions outside, please take extra care when traveling to and from the clinic today. Roads, sidewalks, and parking areas may be slick, and we don’t want anyone—two-legged or four-legged—taking an unexpected tumble. 🐶🐱

Leave a little extra time, walk carefully, and don’t hesitate to call us if you need to reschedule. Your safety (and your pet’s) always comes first!

Stay warm, stay safe, and we’ll see you soon. 💙

🐾❄️ Snow Day Show-and-Tell! ❄️🐾
We know some of you are loving all this winter weather, and we know your pets are too! Whether they’re big, tiny, or somewhere in between — we want to see them enjoying the snow! 🐕🐈🐎🐂🐐🐑🐖🐓🦃🐾

Drop a photo in the comments of your pet’s snowy adventures (or their dramatic refusal to go outside ❄️😅). Big pets, small pets, all pets welcome!

Let’s brighten this chilly day with some extra cuteness 💙

❄️🎄Nothing says ‘holiday spirit’ like a bunch of us wandering around Azalea Park after dark with tangled lights. 🌙
Our team doesn’t just show up for work—we also show up after work, in the dark, armed only with Christmas decorations and blind optimism. 😂
There were giggles, tangled lights, and plenty of ‘Hold that still—I can’t see!’ moments. 🔦
🌺Azalea Park🌺 is glowing a little brighter tonight, thanks to this amazing crew!
Turns out, twinkle lights shine even brighter when you hang them with friends💙

🦃 Thanksgiving Update from Fredericktown Animal Hospital 🦃

We hope everyone is getting ready for a cold, happy, and very tasty Thanksgiving! 🍁🥧 Just a reminder that we will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so our staff can enjoy the holiday with their families.

If your pet has an emergency on Thanksgiving Day, please contact Veterinary Specialty Services (VSS) for immediate care.

As you’re filling your plates this weekend, remember that some Thanksgiving favorites can cause stomach upset—or worse—for our furry friends. 🐶🐱
Here are holiday foods to keep paws off of:

❌ Turkey skin, dark meat & bones 🍗
❌ Garlic, chives & onions 🧄🧅
❌ Grapes & raisins🍇
❌ Pies🥧
❌ Chocolate🍫
❌ Bread dough🍞
❌Avocados🥑
❌Most nuts and seeds🥜
❌ Things containing alcohol or caffeine ☕️🍷
❌ Anything sweetened with xylitol 🍬🍭

A little extra caution can go a long way in keeping your pets safe and your holiday stress-free!

Wishing everyone a safe, cozy, and happy Thanksgiving weekend from all of us at Fredericktown Animal Hospital! 🧡🍂🐾
