Update on the wild rescued Garter snake...
I have fed two live meals since the rescue and he will not take frozen thawed or a live pinky mouse. Due to his lack of eating, im going to put him through a brumation cycle so he will slow down his metabolism due to lack of food resources. He shed about 1 week ago and is looking much better. All scales appear intact and very little scarring. Once out of brumation (mid to late march) ill attempt to feed again (frozen/thawed or live) and see how that goes. Id like to get one more shed and then release him

After waiting a few months for these little guys to get established, they are finally here! Ive wanted one for a couple of years now and due to being rare (and quite pricey) I have finally gotten my chance. Nebraska white plains garter snakes. They will turn bright white as they shed and will gain more blotches of browns/blacks/coppers as they get older. So excited for these (the most excited I've been about a specific species).

A little update on the Eastern I removed from a garage in a local community. He is doing remarkably well. Very docile little guy. Has taken a live frog but did not eat a frozen thawed pinky yet. I have applied iodine solution (diluted for safe amounts) and triple antibiotic (without pain additive) several times now. Prior to application I give him a warm dawn soak and dry him.

Responded to a post at a nearby community and managed to save this adult Male eastern. I have taken it home as you can see in some of the pics. This will give it a better chance of survival due to exposed flesh from trying to twist and escape the sharp metal garage track. Ill be posting updates on my business page Garters Gone Wild if you want to keep an eye on him as he progresses.

I cannot thank the family enough for allowing me to handle this situation.

Went to clean one of my enclosures out and found two babies! Had no clue they were pregnant, but to be expected when its such a small litter. Thamnophis Sirtalis Sirtalis (Florida Eastern Garter snake)

4 different snakes (2 photos per snake) I received today. 2 male California Red-Sided (t.s.Infernalis), 1 male Blue Axanthic Plains (t.Radix), and 1 female "Blueberry" Blue Axanthic x Anery Plains (t.Radix).

2 sub-adult male (ery and ery albino) Radix Garters. Both got added to a Female Visual Albino with triple hets today.
