Don't let your pets outside for long and contain them when outside. Stray and wild cats should have windproof insulated shelter with straw. Please take good care of abandoned and stray kitties right now. High calorie KITTEN food is what we recommend and water. Poor babies out there in the cold. Please do what you can to help them.

Energy efficiency important? We have a cat for you! “PRIUS", has been on the adoption floor.... since July 😞 He is an awesome cat, he's just a little shy and prefers to play with you with toys and not get his attention from pets or being held. He doesn't like being held at all, and while he does like to be petted, he prefers that he comes to you when he wants your love. His littermates were adopted, and while he was not a fan of his siblings, we think would enjoy the company of another chill cat. An indoor home would be preferred but the right We would also like him to be an indoor cat. but the right 'barn' home would be considered as well. He is about 8 months old now, fully vetted and READY to go!

Thank You, this going to be a wonderful re-start to life for these ELEVEN fortunate kitties! (SPONSORS NEEDED FOR A FEW) Our local county shelter asked for help and in just 2 1/2 weeks we were fortunate to find adopters for ALL of THEM! (2 are still in their foster homes until after New Year's but that is perfectly fine) We are a super small passionate group - super small!
We have one guy that we spoke up for, still at the shelter. We are hoping we can find him a new home VERY SOON. His link is in the comments. A couple of the kitties could use a sponsor, they have that noted on their photo.

Famous or InFamous - you decide! My name is Pudge, which I am actually proud of! I am a muscular guy weighing in just under 14 lbs. My fit/fighting weight. You will notice how handsome I am, they call me a 'brown tabby'. Actually after seeing myself in the mirror I think I look more like an Egyptian Mau (very exotic).
I have been at three different shelters since August, you see I am very particular of who adopts me. One family did not last a week. Don't feel sorry for me though, I'll know MY people when I meet them.
Just a big lovable guy with people who prefers to be the only cat in the home, or I will beat up on them. Even small dogs, probably not a good idea, I think they are annoying too. I sorta liked the pitbull type dog at the one home. Young kids, I don't trust, not at all. Because of all the change I am a little reserved and can be growly if you rush me. I overheard conversations saying that I am 'aggressive' - maybe, but really I just play a little rough. If you can read cats, I think we would get along famously. If not, I will let you pet me and then if you aren't paying attention.... bite you. But I only draw just a little bit of blood. I call it a 'love bite' Meow
With my active personality, going outside some would be beneficial, but not near a busy road or too many other dumb cats in my face. The people helping me find the right home think that I was taken from my mother too early and not raised around other cats - honestly, I do not remember. A 'foster to adopt' situation sounds like a good idea to all of us. Whomever adopts me is a Winner because my adoption fee has been sponsored! I am fully vetted, healthy and even microchipped - whatever that is!

Do you want to play Santa this holiday season and make Christmas extra special for our residents? Sponsor a gift for one of our dogs, cats or small animals. We'd like to provide each of the animals in our care with a new toy or two and some treats this year. You can purchase the gifts yourself or donate a gift card and let us do the shopping. These special gifts can be dropped off in the designated bin in the front office.

While our goal is to ensure all our residents get something special, our greatest need this holiday season is toys for our canines. Our dog population fluctuates between 30-40 dogs daily and toys that are safe for these large, heavy chewers just aren't lasting as long.

Samples of gifts can be found on our amazon wish list, but the most requested items for the pups tend to be:

Nylabones, Benebones or Lumabones
Kongs
Jolly Balls
Stuffies & Squeaky toys

Wanna know their sizes? These guys all fall into the Large or Extra Large category and are Heavy Chewers.

You hear us say it all the time: "it takes a village." Indeed, it takes all of us working together to help animals in need because, sadly, there are more animals that need help than there are people to help them.

The next time you find an animal that needs help, TAKE INITIATIVE to help that animal yourself. Don't wait for the rescue or animal control officer to show up; you've got the same ability to make a difference in the life of that animal as any one of us at Stray Cat Project. Especially heading into winter, we need all hands on deck. Do what you can to help a cat in need to alleviate the pressure on local rescues.

We can make a better life for our community cats if we work together, regardless of the weather. Join us!🐾❤️

Animals have no voice.. So when somebody speaks on their behalf stop getting upset.

Please don’t be offended when someone asks are you getting your pet neutered - rescues (made up of volunteers) see the consequences of these actions every day 365 days a year and are simply giving a voice to the vulnerable creatures so casually given away or sold for a few dollars.
