This night, August 11, 2025, our beloved Babycat, Yashma Sibaris, joined her sister-by-mother, Queen, whom we lost in May, on the rainbow bridge.
We can only understand it as her final choice — to be with Queen again. For 13 years, Baby was our tender and loving friend, always close by, often curled on our knees. Yet her heart belonged most of all to Queen. They were inseparable: raising kittens side by side, sleeping in a warm heap, grooming each other endlessly. When Queen became ill, Baby never left her side, offering quiet support until the very end.
Healthy and happy just months ago, Baby was devastated by Queen’s passing. She withdrew, losing interest in everything. No matter how much love and care we gave, she spent her days sleeping and detached, still grieving her dearest companion.
A few days ago, she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and pancreatitis. Despite every effort, her condition worsened rapidly. And tonight, she made her choice — to join Queen — leaving us with aching hearts.
Yashma Sibaris was a Junior Winner of FIFe, named Best of Best at five European shows in Kitten and Junior classes. She never competed as an adult, but she came from our legendary Fenya-Rys Ionessi, DSM FIFe, and was the mother of our beautiful boy Cedar (Kedr), who still fills our home with love at 11 years old.
Her nickname, Baby, came from her lifelong devotion to Royal Canin Babycat food — and in truth, she was always our Baby: cherished, tender-hearted, and compassionate, forever carrying the sweet spirit of a little one. Losing her feels like losing a child.
We picture her now with Queen once more, curled together, gently grooming each other in the sunlit meadows of the rainbow bridge.
We miss you, girls… always.
