Winter Park Trail Rides is excited to announce our opening date for the 2022 season on Saturday, May 7th. High Country Trails, formerly located on Highway 125 in Granby was completely destroyed by the East Troublesome fire and is currently unsafe at this time. We are thrilled to be able to ride at our Fraser location - Winter Park Trail Rides.
Our Fraser trails offer a full 360* view of the gorgeous mountain peaks in Colorado, including the Continental Divide. Our scenic one hour trail will take you through through gorgeous green jack pines and also wildflower and grass flooded draws. With all the amazing terrain around we also have the great possibility of seeing antelope, moose and even a possible bear! Our trail and horses are beginner friendly so even the most inexperienced person will have an opportunity to learn and come to love riding horses. We have the same great horses, excellent wranglers and awesome guest satisfaction as in years past.
We can currently take groups of 10 total riders (may change later in the year).
Most rides are 1 1/2 hours from the time you meet your horse to the time you get off your horse. We do 1 time slot a day that is a 1 hour ride.
The minimum riding age is 6 years old.
We do NOT offer double riding or pony rides.
Our maximum weight to ride is 250 pounds. Height and weight for each rider weighing over 200 pounds is required to determine your BMI. Persons with a BMI over 35 will not be able ride regardless of weight.
All Rides are by reservation only. Click on the following link to book your ride or click on the START ORDER button at the top of the page.. Same day bookings must be made via phone beginning at 9am.
