🐾🧡Ol' Redbone (Blue, our foster American Bully), is doing well with his introduction to the farm. He met Sunny, our mixed farm dog, yesterday and Khaleesi today. (So far the girls like him). He is managing the temperament testing well, he's not food aggressive, he sits on command, shakes paws for treats and head rubs. He pulls on a lead but responds with corrections. He ignored the pigs and was just curious about the cows. No toy/ food possessiveness.
He's learning the boundaries of the yard. All my dogs understand that we don't leave the property without permission/ on a lead- or in the truck. (Please Don't judge me for him being on a lead in the yard. It's just for training purposes and he's more spoiled than most of you- he sleeps in a personal climate controlled building and gets exercise 3/4 times a day). We don't chain dogs here.
Now comes the fun part. The Introduction to Meeko, my hyperactive, playful, possessive xl American Bully. The game plan is to introduce them away from the property and walk them home together a few times. Meeko loves to play rough and wrestle with other dogs. Two years old and he's still 💯 % puppy mentality- strong as a tank with 120 lbs of bone and muscle to contend with.
All my dogs are fed separately, so there's no worries there.
Another adventure at AmeRICAN Bully Tribe !🐾🧡
