🐕 Dog Licensing Now Open!

The Town Clerk’s Office would like to notify residents that dog licensing/renewal is now open through March 31, with a grace period until April 15.

Updated Fees:

$10 – Spayed/Neutered

$15 – Intact

Licenses can be applied for or renewed online through the Citizenserve Licensing Module: https://bit.ly/4qDpOSa OR you can fill out the form on the back of your census and return it via: mail, or in person during regular Town Hall hours.

Log in using your existing account credentials, or new users may create an account by selecting “Register Now.” Once your application and payment are submitted, your dog tag will be processed and mailed to you.

Good morning Norfolk! Just a reminder that all 2025 dog licenses and kennel licenses are now expired and need to be renewed. Our by law states that they expire on Dec. 31st of each year so let's get all those "pure-breads", cross breed, mixed breeds and Heinz 57 pooches properly tagged before the late fees and penalties kick in! If you have a kennel license and have not renewed, it's incredibly important that that is squared away ASAP as the fines for those who need one are incredibly high and we'd rather see compliance instead of enforcement.

So what do you need to do? here's the rundown:

1. Individual dog licenses for 4 dogs or less - you may get them squared away on line with the town clerk's office here: https://www.norfolkmass.gov/departments/town_clerk/dog_licensing.php . There are instructions on this tab for the forms to fill out, and then you would submit them and purchase through the "online payment" tab and use the dog licensing section. Alternatively you may mail your forms in to the town clerk, or go visit them at the town clerk's office at 1 Liberty Lane. Late fees start at the end of March.

2. If you have more than 4 dogs in your household you will need a kennel license. These range in category from personal kennel through commercial kennels. I'm happy to speak with you as to what type of kennel license you need based on dog count and the specific needs you have whether it is your personal dogs, or you wish to take in animals for care while their owners are away. Each level of kennel license has different requirements and I'm happy to discuss those with anyone who is looking for more clarity. Susan has been training Service Dogs and Community Resource Dogs since 2017 for Golden Opportunities for Independence (GOFI). Her love for helping others, training and teaching, led her to holding classes like Tuesday Night Training. Susan wanted to give everyone a chance to learn and created a class that was unique, fun, affordable and fit most people's schedules. She just loves to teach, and it shows. In the warmer months Susan takes dogs off site for location training, which helps dogs learn in the real world with distractions. Susan is also a AKC Evaluator and holds many classes that provides AKC Titles from CGC, CGCA, CGCU and Tricks.
