Neurodiversity in vet med: my story begins.

Ever wonder what it’s like to step into a vet clinic—and realize you see the world a little differently? July of 2024, I was diagnosed as autistic after two decades in veterinary medicine. Suddenly, so much made sense: my hyper-focus, my empathy for stressed-out pets (and people!), and my passion for advocating for every voice in our field.

I’m sharing this because I believe ALL vet professionals deserve workplaces that celebrate neurodiversity, support mental health, and empower us to thrive. It’s not just about me—it’s about every veterinary professional who’s ever felt ‘different’ or unseen.
