Meet Duke! 🐾

A 66.5lb, 2-year-old, Shepherd mix who found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own. He’s a loyal, people-oriented pup who likes to stick close to his person and be part of whatever you’re doing. Duke has a medium to high energy level and loves to play—tug toys and chase games are some of his absolute favorites! Treats are also a big win for him, making training and bonding extra fun.

Duke doesn’t love being in a crate and would do best in a home where he can have time outside of one, especially with his people nearby. According to his previous owner, he does well with children and other dogs, making him a great candidate for a family home or an active household. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and loyal companion, Duke might just be your perfect match.

‼ STRUGGLE BUS ALERT ‼

Gouda, Ozzy and Ambrosia are all sweet souls who’s losing hope in the shelter. The noise, stress, and confinement are taking a toll on them emotionally and physically. They cannot thrive here in this environment.

Each one has so much to offer, but they urgently need placement, rescue, or adoption to avoid heading toward euthanasia deadlines.

We want to reiterate the importance of our “Struggle Bus’’. We post these dogs weekly because they are struggling the most at the shelter. The dogs who are on the struggle bus could be at risk of euthanasia- of course it’s never the outcome we want.

🐾Gouda- 50lb, 1yr old, female, Siberian Husky mix, VERY high energy, would do great in an active home, would do best in a home with older children and with other dogs.
🐾Ozzy- 63lb, 4yrs old, male, American Bulldog mix, very friendly, loves to be outside, could play fetch for hours, would do great in an active home.
🐾Ambrosia- 51lbs, 2yrs old, female, APBT mix, lover her people, high energy, would do best with older children, needs a lot of mental/physical stimulation.

Meet Mia! 🐾

A 41lb, 2-year-old Alaskan Husky who is incredibly sweet and happiest when she’s spending time outdoors, soaking up fresh air and adventure. She’s very people-oriented and loves being near her humans, often chatting away in true husky fashion—she’s quite the conversationalist.

Mia isn’t really interested in toys; she’d much rather enjoy your company or explore her surroundings. She’s impressively athletic (she can clear a 6-foot fence!), so she’ll thrive with secure outdoor space and an active lifestyle. While walking through the kennels, Mia shows little concern for other dogs and seems content minding her own business.

Meet Filigree!

Filigree is a 1½-year-old male dog with a gentle soul and a thoughtful approach to the world. He thrives in calm, quiet environments where he can feel safe and relaxed. While he’s a truly lovely companion, Filigree isn’t a fan of sudden movements or a lot of commotion.

Filigree enjoys playing with his toys in short, happy bursts, then will happily check back in with his people for reassurance or affection. He’s very people-oriented and values that connection, making him a sweet and attentive companion once he feels comfortable.

Meet Zinger! 🐾

Zinger is a 2-year-old, 70-pound, APBT mix with a big heart and even bigger enthusiasm for life. He absolutely loves human affection and seems happiest when he’s soaking up attention from his people. Playtime is one of his favorite things, and when the zoomies hit, he’s not shy about throwing all 70 pounds of himself into the fun!

Zinger is highly treat-motivated and takes treats very gently. He walks well on a leash and enjoys getting out-and-about, though his strength means he will do best with someone who can confidently handle a strong dog. Zinger also does not seem to mind the other dogs while walking through the load and chaotic kennels.

If you’re looking for a playful, motivated companion with a steady demeanor, Zinger could be a wonderful match.

‼ URGENT- EUTHANASIA PENDING! BULLWINKLE MUST FIND RESCUE OR ADOPTION NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, JANUARY 20TH BY 5:00PM IN ORDER TO ENSURE HIS SAFETY ‼

Bullwinkle has been at the shelter for 213 days. The shelter environment is taking a serious toll on him. Despite the staff doing everything they can, kennel life has become very overwhelming. Staff is doing everything they can to relive some of the stress, but even with that support, the constant noise, confinement, and lack of a real home are more than he can handle. His constant scaling the sides of the kennel trying to get out, circling in his kennel, barking, and excessive panting are all taking such a toll on his mental health. He needs immediate relief.

Meet Bullwinkle!
Bullwinkle is a 1½-year-old, 62-pound APBT mix with a big personality and even bigger zoomies. He’s a very energetic, wiggly guy who’s still learning the ropes—especially when it comes to leashes, which can make him a little nervous.

Once he warms up, Bullwinkle is all about movement and fun. He’ll need an active home with someone who can help him build confidence and find healthy ways to burn off his energy (think: walks, playtime, and positive reinforcement!).

If you’ve got a little patience and a lot of love to give, Bullwinkle is ready to bounce into your life and heart.
