There comes a moment when healing is no longer about fixing what broke. It is about learning that you were always more than the broken pieces.

Our dogs teach us this every day.

Many of them come to us carrying scars we cannot see—abandonment, neglect, loss, fear, or uncertainty. Yet somehow they find the strength to trust again, love again, and embrace each new day with an open heart.

As humans, we often try to put every broken piece back exactly where it was. But healing is not always about returning to who we were before the hurt. Sometimes it is about discovering the strength, compassion, and resilience that were inside us all along.

I wish people would choose spay and neuter. There are so many animals that are dumped trying to learn survival on their own. Shelters and rescues are over flowing with animals that deserve a forever home.

Dear God, please watch over every animal trying to survive another day.

Stray dogs, abandoned puppies, rescue animals, shelter pets, and homeless animals should not have to fight through hunger, cold, fear, rain, and loneliness just to stay alive. Every dog owner, pet parent, animal lover, rescue supporter, shelter volunteer, and animal welfare advocate knows animals deserve food, clean water, safe shelter, veterinary care, kindness, and a loving home.

Some animals are not looking for much - just a warm place, a full bowl, and one kind person who refuses to ignore them.
