Our mission is to shelter, care for, and advocate for the abused, neglected, and abandoned cats and dogs of the communities we serve by taking steps to control overpopulation and providing healthy animals that will be adopted into loving 'forever' homes. Franklin Animal Shelter is working hard to find placement for all our animals before dissolving. To help make this possible, *ALL adoption fees have been waived!* ❤️🏡

Merlin and Koda are still available for adoption. Koda is pending vaccinations to be able to meet the public, but we are still reviewing applications for adoption🐾 Don’t miss this opportunity to give them the love and care they deserve.

Thanks to your kindness and generosity, many local animals, neighbors, and community members have benefitted from Franklin Animal Shelter’s presence for years. It is with great sadness that its Board of Directors shares the news that shelter operations will be suspended today due to financial constraints. The charitable organization known as Granite State Animal League DBA Franklin Animal Shelter will be dissolved. Any remaining funds will be donated to another charitable organization dedicated to animal welfare as per its by-laws.

New Hampshire Humane Society in Laconia, NH, has offered to support Franklin and surrounding communities during this time of change. Needs such as animal adoptions, surrenders, and community resources are referred to New Hampshire Humane Society.
