Mary Grayson & Allison had a quick & fun trip to the Middle Tennessee Hunter Jumper Association Awards banquet.
Congratulations to MG and Celebrate (Ouzo) who were champion in the 18-35 Adult Amateur Hunters and also overall High Point Hunter horse champions for the second year in a row. (3rd year in a row for MG, who was high point Champion with Captivate in 2023!)
Congratulations also to Reagan Bugg & Brewsky who were reserve champion in the Low Adult hunters.
Thanks to MTHJA for putting on an entertaining banquet with great door prizes!

Derby Finals week in Kentucky is always one of our favorite shows to attend- this year we had HOT 🔥🔥 weather but great food, great views, great ribbons and great friends!
So glad our Trinity Farms besties Poppy & Grace could join in the fun with us!

It was very hot and VERY rainy but Southern Sky girls Reagan & Mary Grayson had a great Brownland Summer show- both champion in their divisions!

The Germantown Charity Horse Show is a week long marathon, usually involving heat & rain, super long days, watching fun classes at night, and great competition. The Southern Sky horses and riders did not disappoint!
Mary Grayson & Celebrate were the only ones of our group to have to brave the rain- we ALMOST made it to the end but it wasn’t meant to be- and brave it they did! Winning the Adult Hunter undersaddle in a downpour & lightning storm to clinch the Championship.

Reagan & Brewsky were on a roll in the Low Adults, winning both over fences classes the first day & earning the reserve championship.

Addie & Southern Storm and Carlyn & Red Cap were both fabulous in a huge and competitive Low Children’s division, putting in great rounds and collecting great ribbons for their efforts.

Southern Sky also won the tack room decoration award! 🎉🎉 Gerardo is glad that we only go all out once a year🤣

WTHJA’s Memphis in May 1 & 2 were great shows for the Rockstar girls and ladies of Southern Sky!! I could not be prouder of each of them!!
Week 1 highlights:
Carlyn & Red Cap were Champions in the Low Children’s Hunters 💙❤️💛🎉
Mary Grayson & Celebrate were Champions in the Adult Hunters & won the Overseas Child/ Adult Hunter Classic! 💙❤️💛🎉
Mary Grayson borrowed Addie’s Southern Storm & took the reserve championship in the Low Adult Hunters. ❤️💛🤍🎉
Week 2 Highlights:
The triumphant return of Reagan & Brewsky! They took the reserve championship in the Low Adult hunters, winning 2 over fences classes! ❤️💛🤍🎉
Mary Grayson & Ouzo continued their winning ways, taking the championship in the Adult Hunters for the second week in a row. 💙❤️💛🎉
Addie took back her Southern Storm and had great rounds in the Low Children’s Hunters, earning 🥇🥈🥉and narrowly missed the reserve championship in her first time in the division. 💙💙💙🎉

Better late than never with Southern Sky’s Exel wrap up! These girls/ ladies all deserved a more prompt congratulations post because they all worked so hard!
Addie & Southern Storm had a clean sweep of the 2’3” Hunters to claim champion!🎉
Clara & Red Cap were champion in the 2’6” Hunters! 🎉
Lilly and Pursuit of Happiness had fabulous ribbons in the .70m jumpers including a 3rd in the classic! 🎉
Joining the Southern Sky team this week were mother- daughter duo Kaelin & Kimber. Kimber and RQT Equity in Gold had great ribbons in short stirrup, .70m AND dressage in between softball games! Kaelin and Project Runway had good rounds in the jumper ring and a blue ribbon in their dressage test. 🎉
We love having the famous Charming Charlie and Larson join us! They were champions in the Beginner W-T X-rails. 🎉
Also joining Southern Sky were the cutest neighbors ever- Farnley Sea Salt & Mary Helen who had a blast in the W-T Cavaletti division.

Congrats also to our Exel year end award winners- Lilly, Carlyn, Larson & Mary Helen🎉🎉🎉🎉

Mary Grayson & Allison had a fun quick trip to Columbia TN for the Middle Tennessee Hunter Jumper Association awards banquet.
Congrats to MG and Celebrate “Ouzo” for being MTHJA Younger Adult Amateur champion for 2024 AND Horse High Point Grand Champion and MG & Radiate “Charlotte” for being MTHJA Low Adult Champion!

It started out cold 🥶 and ended up wet 🌧️, with long hours in between, but Southen Sky had a lot of fun at the Exel December show!
Carlyn & Red Cap “Porter” had a great show- 8th in the Hunter Derby & reserve champion in the 2’ hunters, plus she won the Eq. over fences on Saturday! 🎉
Carlyn continued her winning ways on Mary Alice West’s Farnley Sea Salt, taking the champion in the Very Green Hunters. (Special thanks to Violet from Trinity Farms for taking the reins on “Sandy” in the under saddle when Carlyn was riding Porter in the other ring at the same time).
Lilly & Pursuit of Happiness had great rounds in the jumpers, earning good ribbons each day in HUGE classes, including a 5th in the welcome stake on Friday evening. They were fast, clear & safe- making good decisions each day. Happy has really progressed this year!

We always love when Charming Charlie & Larson join us- Larson trained with Aintree & Susan Johnson and took the reserve champion in 2 divisions- walk trot cavaletti & walk trot crossrails. Great job!

Thanks to Brittany and her fabulous staff for making these shows so successful & fun!

Southern Sky had a great two weeks in Germantown to wrap up our 2024 show season.
Mary Grayson & her young horses had fabulous results:
Celebrate “Ouzo” was reserve champion in the combined Adult division at Harvest Time & reserve again the next week at Memphis Charity in the younger Adult Hunters.
Radiate “Charlotte” was 3 time champion week 1- champion in 2’3” USHJA hunters, Low Adult Hunters & also Zone 4 champion in Low Adults. Week 2: Charlotte was again Low Adult Hunter champion, plus she won the Low Adult classic both weeks!
Ellie Grace & Qui Vigo Darco had good rounds & good ribbons in the 3’3” juniors both weeks to finish out their year.

Southern Sky is thankful to have quality horse shows right in our backyard! Thank you to the West Tennessee Hunter Jumper Association for the hard work it takes to put on a show series in Germantown. We look forward to our 2025 show season!
