We recently stopped by Unforgettable Underdogs Dog Rescue, where they were recently impacted by an EF3 tornado — it touched down three houses from the rescue's president's own home.

What started as one tent is now a full supply hub and trailer for Menasha families and their pets. The humans get a lot of the focus after a disaster like this — they are making sure the pets don't get left behind. 💙🐾

Unforgettable Underdogs has been taking in Wisconsin pups' toughest cases since 2013 — medical needs, behavioral challenges, dogs that got abandoned or neglected. They aren't afraid of the complicated cases.

Sun's out, pups are out — and so is the paddleboard. ☀️🐾 We spent the day with Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue's Paddle for Pups fundraiser to help close the gap between adoption fees and vet bills. Their mission has been the same since 1998: save one, until there are none. Give this post a share if you love German Shepherds and want to help. 💙

Meet Ada! This sweet girl has been in foster with Winston's Wishes for 776 days (that's a little over 2 years) waiting for her forever family.

Ada is 8 years old, about 50 pounds, and an absolute sweetheart — loyal, affectionate, spunky, and gentle. Her foster calls her "Ada Beans" and "Adalaide," and honestly, both fit. She loves car rides, sniff walks, sunshine naps, and she is VERY food motivated (popcorn, watermelon, pumpkin, pupsicles, and Mumbies Yummies Bison Liver Treats are her top picks).

Ada is housebroken, has great indoor manners, and loves people of all ages. She's crate trained but prefers to free roam next to her people.

A few things her foster wants potential families to know: Ada does best as an only dog — she loves to steal all your attention and be the center of the world, and trust us, she's worth it! She's also on an idiopathic anemia health journey — she received a life-saving blood transfusion in February 2025 and requires frequent blood draws to keep her blood cell counts stable, along with an immunosuppressant medication every other day. Supporting her with proper nutrition, diet, and lifestyle goes a long way. And because of her dog reactivity, a fenced-in yard is strongly recommended.

Winston's Wishes and Ada's foster family would love nothing more than to stay part of her story after adoption — visitation rights would mean the world to them.
