This really did age well 💯🔥🔥
Have a look at “Wick”, this is a 2 year photo time-hop!
Wick is truly an all in one type of German Shepherd. He’s ready for ANYTHING at ANYTIME.
From 0 to 100, back to 0 without hesitation.
Recently when I traveling back from Las Vegas, I stopped at a National Park to spend the night. With my leg broken I was taking the drive home in shorter portions anyways, and wanted to let the dog team I had stretch their legs and explore the area. As it happens, a group of Boy Scouts of America on a spring break trip were gathered for a huge Stargazing event, and somehow Wick, Zaco and myself were fortunate enough to hang out with this neat group of people for about an hour as the sun was setting. Wick was such an incredible ambassador for well trained dogs with this group of young folks. He played ball, did a few tricks, shook hands and then laid down respectfully while they set up telescopes and tents. You wouldn’t have ever known Wick was one of our lead apprehension demo dogs for our Police K9 class just 18 hrs prior this encounter. He is such a powerful brute, and true force to reckon with as a protection dog. But also confident, reserved and aware of his immediate surroundings. Something else that I noticed that I really admired about him; whenever I play ball with him- it’s war. I love strong healthy engagement with my dogs and I alway encourage some rough play with their rewards. However with this group, Wick would check in with me when bringing back a ball, go to one of the 4 or 5 teenagers eagerly patting their legs beckoning him to return the ball to them; and he’d drop it at their feet and step back. Without any prompting from me, he did not rough the kids up for the ball. What a truly beautiful heart inside that handsome frame of his!
